Indeed. That is why at the toss up the referee gives instructions to the captains, but how often do you see a captain go back to his teammates and pass the message on?

The captain of any team has added responsibility, as is clearly seen in Rugby and Cricket, but in football it just seems to be someone to lead the team out. I have myself had occasion to call a captain over and tell him that a certain player is getting very close to getting himself in trouble, but rarely does the captain pass this on to the player.

Agree. While overt racism has decreased in stadiums and in football in general we have to keep working to eradicate it from the game and society.

I wouldn't see a problem having 5 subs per game. Three permanent and 2 rolling with a cap put on. Essentially the rolling subs would be used for injuries and stop this nonsense of having people rolling around or off the pitch for a few minutes getting treatment.

Long overdue IMO adding an extra sub for extra time, I've been saying it for years. Encourage teams to win it in 90 with their 3 subs, but still allow changes in the extra half hour.
