My guess is because of the FA Cup final. The 3 playoff finals are usually back-to-back across bank holiday weekend - Sat, Sun, Mon. However for some reason the FA Cup final is on the Saturday of Bank Holiday weekend so the League 1 final is the week before. So they are finishing the season a week before to accommodate.

Paul Robinson given a 3 game ban for violent conduct. Or - quoted from Blues' statement - "frustration as Chester ran past from his blind side" :icon_lol:
Shame - there goes my dream scenario of a Robinson own goal in the 90th minute sending Blues down.

So tempted to order this:

Dear X

Enjoy the shirt.

Boing boing

Yours,
Murdering scumbag (okay, death by dangerous driving)

Nice to see this bloke keeping himself in shape just like in his playing career.

Give that man a biscuit.

Not Andy...

The EFL has written to Huddersfield to "request their observations regarding team selection" for Saturday's 2-0 defeat by Birmingham City.

And quite rightly so in my opinion. Had Huddersfield Town been playing a mid table team then that would have been fine, but to play a weakened team against a side involved in the relegation battle was wrong.

They'll get fined some token amount which won't affect Huddersfield in any way whereas Blackburn will still get relegated and blues will get away with it.

Indeed. The EFL have already said there will be no points deduction, so it will be a slap on the wrist for Huddersfield. Sorry, but it is just wrong.

wouldn´t have stayed long under Deano, way too many burgers in there....

The Hudds team on Sat and how many league appearances they've made this season:

Coleman (4)
Smith (41)
Hudson (22)
Cranie (14)
Holmes-Dennis (9)
Whitehead (15)
Billing (24)
Lolley (19)
Payne (23)
Bunn (16)
Quaner (15)

Wells (42), Scannell (14) and Mooy (41) all came on.

It wasn't just a bunch of no hopers pulled from nowhere. If they get fined then it'll be a farce. Not beating 10 man Blues is embarrassment enough.

As a bitter, petty man I hope they get battered in the playoffs of course and we nab Hefele, Ward and Billing off them.

Yeah they've all played a part, but they aren't the best players who are going to win the games.

Same as when the big teams rest their players and struggle. The fringe players aren't good enough to win games on their own

Where do you draw the line though? We made eight changes on Saturday. Would have been nine if Ikeme or Lonergan had regained fitness in time.

Well said. A team I dislike for no reason whatsoever. Didn't we get a shafting when mick played a reserve side in the cup? Nonsense then. Nonsense for Huddersfield now. We are just tainted cause its Birmingham and floppy chops. Squad game now. Pick who u like when u like

I'd imagine it was more about mentality than team changes. One side were up for it the other wasn't. If the the side Huddersfield had played in midweek had put in a performance and beaten them then perhaps they would have been more at it.

Like Deutsch, I hope they get spanked in the play offs for letting that shite stay up.

Agree with this.

Huddersfield have every right to field a weakened side in the interests of resting their strongest players for the playoffs. To suggest otherwise really boggles my mind.
