The F1 Thread

Six races in a row now where he's made contact with the wall of another driver. Ricciardo is in a huge bargaining position the longer this goes on.

Well, you have to give Ricciardo credit for the drive to hold on, but I think Vettel and Hamilton were both driving knackered machinery as well. Monaco is just an epically shit race unless it pisses down though.

Leclerc was a lucky boy with his brake failure - good bit of driving to try and stick it in the barrier to slow himself before he hit Hartley. Bar that it was dull as ditchwater sadly.

Canada normally one of the best races. This has been rubbish though

Was just about to post the same. Dull as fuck.

Cars seem to need a 2 second gap to save the tyres and Lewis is using an engine that should be in the bin.

Spectacularly dull. Not sure there's been a single overtake for position since the safety car.

52 seconds between 6th and 7th as well. It’s basically 3 teams in F1 and 7 in F1B

I've already switched over. Dull as ditchwater.

Forgot it was on, glad i did. Might do the same for the rest of the season.

Even the race director is bored and the chequered flag waved a lap early

The Final result was based on when the flag was shown which has fucked off Danny Ric as he set the Fastest lap after the fake flag and it doesn't count. Good job no one could actually overtake as the Final result was on the position at the end of Lap 68. Would have been some fun if anyone had lost a position

Only thing good from that is that the champ fight between Vettell and Hamilton got closer

Nothing good came from that Grand Prix.....unless you were struggling to sleep.

91 porsche decided to take Dunlop backwards at fuck knows how many MPH. Quite spectacular.

I am really really enjoying Eurosport's coverage of Le Mans. It is excellent. Bit strange to hear Carlton Kirby occasionally slipping into cycling-speak, but is great stuff to watch.

Fernando Alonso and his co-drivers win the two horse race at the front of Le Mans.

Will make the full move to IndyCar next year to fully have the chance to take the Indy500 and complete the 'trick he wants

A pretty special performance, albeit the competition was pretty much the other Toyota and the face itself!

He took a minute and a half out of the #8 in his night stint and was the fastest driver on average across the race by over 0.4s, 2.4s clear of the next rookie in the field.

The gap between the fastest and second in the last three years on average was approximately 0.1s a lap.
