Certainly ambitious plans for a club that apparently would have run out of money this year and won't be needing financial support from the government to build it
Gary Neville suggested a few small things that could have been done to raise money for the former players association like a dinner with the proceeds going to it or current players giving a miniscule fraction to help out players that do a lot around the club (I think the figure was £40k which is obviously extremely small fry to a club that generated money in the top 3 of world football) and Ratcliffes's response was that nobody had suggested any such things to him. Always amazes me with the people they have around then that they ignore things like this that just look aesthetically terrible.
Everything I've read into potential funding has been referenced as Greater Manchester borough council. Sir Jim has also stated no public finance will be required so it's a wait & see.
pretty tough read in places.
following the Astle family campaigning on this, I wonder if we will see further cases coming to prominence? It also appears we are seeing increased similar issues arising in rugby players.
