And a superb result for Sergio.

What the hell was Seb doing? Completely compromised himself trying to overtake a bloke who then went out. Weird finish.

Blimey. Happy Birthday Lewis. Now 4 points ahead in the Championship. Ferrari really fucked up the advantages they've gotten.

Sorry for Bottas as he deserved that win.

Agreed - gutted for Bottas, but what a great race Baku has delivered. Really enjoying that circuit.

Both Red Bull's officially reprimanded and apportioned equal blame by the stewards.

"Both drivers contributed to the collision," said the statement. "The driver of car 33 [Verstappen] made two moves, both of which were relatively minor.
"The driver of car 3 [Ricciardo] admitted he left his move to overtake on the left, too late.
"It was obvious to the stewards that although the incident had its origins in the moves by car 33, the driver of car 3 also contributed to the incident."

What a load of non-committal rubbish from the stewards. I think Ricciardo has been forced to accept partial blame so the team can save face.

Meanwhile, Ocon has blamed Kimi again for their collision:

I was ahead of him on the straight. I was completely ahead, he was behind,"
"I don't know what he did, he released the brakes and hit me."

What planet is this guy on?!! Do they even watch the replays before spouting this rubbish to reporters?

Where did Ocon expect Kimi to go?! He just cut right across him.

That Red Bull crash had been coming all race, Verstappen defends like a dickhead all the time to the point where you may as well not bother trying - it’s like he’s playing a game. Red bull should have done something to get them away from each other after the first 3 times they almost crashed, either make Max move over or pit one of them early.

It was a double move
By max but about a third of a cars width. Ric was too committed and was never pulling out, and then there was no space = collision.

Nearly every team radio you heard from Max ended with Christian Horner saying "Keep it clean" Says a lot for their trust him in right now

That was just his engineer, not Horner.

Your point still stands though.

Ok fair enough. I obviously wasn't paying that much attention!

I only noticed as his voice annoys me

Could be a new street circuit from next season in Miami. Looks like if it gets the thumbs up it will replace Baku

hohum, lets get rid of the circuit which has provided the only decent race this season.

Apparently Baku is under threat due to Human Rights issues. I presume Bahrain is also under threat, unless they pay more $$...

Hmm, human rights issues so lets have a new race in the US.

First time though isn't it? It's been a non-event previously.

You get the odd thriller at the Hungaroring and Catalunya but I wouldn't say they're good tracks...

Good last year as well. Stroll almost taking 2nd only to be beaten by Bottas who had come from nowhere right on the line. Vettel losing his shit under the safety car.

It's a good track with tricky corners and plenty of overtaking opportunities.
