The F1 Thread

Ferrari are sandbagging, quite obviously so too.

There's a chance that red bull turn up with a new bit of kit to push themselves to the front too.

For anybody interested, Motorsport Manager is available on a free trial on Steam at the moment. I'm giving it a whirl.

I got fired after not meeting expectations during my 5th season. Bit annoying but I paid the price for getting a cheap 2nd driver who ended up last every race

I will pick it up at some point, sadly I only noticed the trial late last night and it's pointless me installing it right now as I'm hardly going to be in for the remainder of the week.

Ah that's annoying, think it's 50% off on steam atm too

Once a game goes on sale on Steam once then it'll keep going on sale every few months...

I can hold off, I don't really have time full stop at the minute and you know full well what kind of gaming backlog I've got :icon_lol: No rush. Plus this way, you lot can work out the game and tell me how to play it...

Downloaded the Motorsport Manager freebie, one race I'm not really feeling it, had to make 4 pit stops in a 30 lap race, seems nonsense.

I would say Mercedes were sand bagging a huge amount. Hamilton is massively faster.

Possibly, but there is a big gap between hamilton and bottas (who was slower than vettel on quali runs). It might just be the new style of driving required, physical and aggressive, suits hamilton perfectly.

Sometimes takes drivers a little while to get used to new cars and Hamilton is a brilliant driver so there's a chance that Vettel can get himself above Bottas. We all know how the starts went last year for Mercedes so even if they ace quali it's no guarantee

Equally the style might particularly suit vettel above raikkonen in the Ferrari.

Hamilton half a second quicker than Vettel in practice. It looks like Mercedes will again be up there.

Still difficult to say as every team ran a limited set up but Lewis was on it this morning. His time in P2 was just short of the track record, no doubt that will be beaten in qualifying.

Mad that teams only have 4 engines for the 20 race weekends.

Haven't the penalties been reduced for this year? Might as well just take the hit and try to get the situation worked out.

Alonso did kind of ok today I suppose, considering where they were in Barcelona.
