Race further ruined by a poor stop. Maybe good in the long term that his and luck all happening in the same race, if you believe in that sort of thing.

What a dull race. I FFWD through at least half of it.

I don't understand why races like this are repeatedly on the calendar when some good races struggle to get on?

Surely they would be better giving Jarama a go for a year as host of the Spanish race? Can't be any worse than this place or that shit-heap at Valencia.

Although I think the best bits of Jarama were completely denuded after the Donnelly horror crash years ago.

Do you mean Jerez rather than Jarama? Jarama hasn't hosted a GP since 1981, and it was Jerez where Donnelly had his accident

Refuelling on the way back for 2017.

The Formula One circus continues.

Only a proposal at the moment. Loads of stuff being put forward including binning the Friday practice sessions.

Two very nasty accidents in practice for the Indy 500. Looks like there is an aerodynamic problem with the new enclosed wheel designs introduced after Wheldon's accident, which can cause the cars to flip over if they lose downforce in an impact with the wall. That could be a very serious problem.

The problem at these oval tracks has always been downforce. The cars are going at 250mph, and are rockets on wheels. Any slight problem with downforce can make the Indy cars simply take off. I enjoy the Indy 500, and have nothing but admiration for the drivers.

Definitely a great idea. It's been years since a driver was lit up like a Christmas tree

Another bad crash at the Indy practice sessions. And further testament to the strength and design of the cars.

Lewis Hamilton massively fast in FP1 at Monaco. Monaco Grand Prix, World Matchplay at Wentworth, First test at Lords, Playoff finals, completion of the greed league. Not a bad weekend for the sports fan.

Pole for Lewis in Monaco.

Rosberg looked like he was going to stroll itat one point but 2 big lock ups (end of Q2 & Q3) put that to bed.

Only caught Q3 but the comms reckon Jenson might have made the top ten if he hadn't been slowed up by a yellow flag. Progress of sorts I suppose.
