The Definitive TWF Worst Wolves XI Thread

I remember Jimmy Kelly being ok...until he got into the penalty area and a chance to score, he would then just fall to pieces

Then of course he turned into a dick on a night out (a night out that was banned by the club as well) and kicked someone to death. Lovely

Eggert Jonnson
Steve Corica
Jamie O'hara
Darren Anderton
Segundo Castillo
Tongo Doumbia

My favourite Fergie moment came after he had beaten 2 players (yes he did!!) and was clean through on goal but the last defender clipped his heels as skipped! by him and the ref called play back for a free kick to us...Fergie was furious and picked up the ball, turned round and booted it at the ref and it shot about an inch over his head. Somehow he only got a yellow card for that. Magic moment.

He was a petulant, lipstick wearing child. I think I mentioned last season that Saville was the worst tackler I'd seen at Wolves since Ferguson. Big Fat Daz never made one in his time here, I'm convinced of it. Either let someone waltz past him with no effort or committed a foul. Nothing else.

Great goal against Cov which by the standards of some in this thread should exempt him. Fuck that though. He was awful.

The only thing I remember him doing is smashing the ball over the bar

This one will be tough. Just thinking about our so called midfield in the mid eighties still sends a shiver down my spine.

Still thinking - probably going to have to dig out the dartboard and allocate numbers to individuals then throw darts blindfold to choose

Gudjohnsson is a good shout, I expected more from him, that miss against Newcastle, failing to hit the target, woeful, and he definitely had the worst shot i have ever seen:-

Away at Middlesbrough he managed to put the ball on the roof of their similar in size to the Stan Cullis stand behind the goal. It didn't even bounce back down, summed up a truly dreadful day where Danny Mills was an utter cunt to Naylor, which lead to Mendietta scoring.

I recall Castillo having a couple of good games before fading away.

Castillo was immense when he first came in and then just faded badly away. Such a shame. Doumbia followed the same path

I must've missed Segundo's good game(s). Every time I saw him he was beyond awful.

He cleared the stand roof at Middlesborough. The ball eventually landing in Yarm.

2nd to that was Mo Camara's "effort" against Blues at home that went out of the ground and landed somewhere in Asda car park. He managed to squeeze the ball between the Stan Cullis and Steve Bull stands in that instance, it was a decent chance too, unbelievable.

Martin Baily
David Wintergill
Michael Matthews
Ian Cartwright
Nigel Quashie
Segundo Castillo

And there are a few others who I could easily have selected.

Mick Matthews? Really? He played pretty well compared with the dross around him.

David Wintersgill was just a kid chucked in the deep end as was Ian Cartwright and Martin Bayly. They were all under 21 when they left Wolves so I respectfully disagree with four of your six.
