Summer 2021 transfer window

No, we've had shitty transfer windows for the last three seasons. just because people getting extra apoplectic over this one doesnt mean Netos handing in a request tomorrow, no doubt they'll be as disappointed as everyone else
Where did i say they will be handing in a transfer request tomorrow? I was saying as you have there, that they'll be disappointed and more inclined to want to leave if an offer came in (in January, next summer) than if we had managed to sign Botman and Sanches (for example). It's a really obvious point that you've decided to argue against for some reason.

If Fosun are treating us as an investment with buy to sell a significant part of the business model today's inactivity is very puzzling. Firstly it puts us a couple of injuries from potentially being in a relegation battle and relegation will massively reduce the value of their investment. Secondly to sell players for profit you need to have a stream of players to develop yet our squad is smaller than ever. How do you make money bumbling along in the lower echelons of the PL? Could they be boosting the balance sheet in preparation for selling there club?

It's just incompetence unfortunately, Jeff hasn't got the experience or remotely qualified to be in the position he is and he's assembled a shite team of yes men around him and these are the results.

Fairly sure we must be the only team in prem history where you can argue a case for our squad getting weaker every year we’ve been in it. Still say we were strongest in our first season. Baffling

I thought we were stronger in 19/20 the pandemic did us no favours pretty sure we’d have come 6th and a few more points had it not hit when it did.

Putting to one side Fosun's ambition or plan, the PR fuck up is huge. They've had their brand new manager saying for weeks that we don't have enough players, that we needed another 3-4 signings, that he wants two players for every position.. how on earth do they talk their way out of this?

Well we tried but they wouldn’t join us…

When I posted at lunchtime that it would be zero in and zero out I did it more tongue in cheek honestly didn’t believe I’d be sat here at 2255 with us having 1 fewer player.
Today’s just come across as very amateurish from the club the bid to try and get Moore in just seemed panicked and a bid to appease.
Have the board been wilfully neglectful? No
Have they been incompetent? Yes
Says pretty much that someone is needed to help get deals over the line.
The Hierarchy especially Jeff will be desperate for results to turn if we start winning everything that’s happened today is forgotten about quickly.

We have some very good players in the squad and it appears that the manager can get them to play some very decent football, though he needs results. But the depth of the squad is thinner than ever and the backing of the new manager has been nothing short of useless. He has to get more out the players available than ever for this season not to be a total disaster. The board have left him to completely shoulder the burden and of course the blame if it doesn’t work out. Shameful.

Its just the latest one, telling us how they need to increase prices to that of our competitors and then having one of, if not the lowest net spends in the league.

Pretty sure Burnley don't charge children £800 for a season ticket.

Who'd have thought that a recruitment team with the square root of fuck all experience operating at this level would deliver yet another shambolic window.

Sellars loses his bearings the moment he steps outside of the academy section on Man City's website and he's supposedly the main man. Fair enough he may be well regarded in that sphere, but its a car crash at this level.

Indeed. The problem isn’t the eleven, it’s what happens when one or two of those eleven get injured.

Enjoy watching Neves, Traore & probably Neto while you can. They won’t be around much longer. Nor will Moutinho.

To keep moving forward, you have to keep improving and investing in the squad. We’ve gone backwards.

I am seriously worried about where we’ll be in as soon as 1-2 years.
