And by then we may well have injuries/suspensions in other areas - heaven forbid it’s one of our THREE senior midfielders or one of the already mentioned THREE defenders - because we will genuinely be playing under 23’s in the PL.

I’m always a half full guy when it comes to Wolves.
I think it’s going to be a long slog of a season, sadly I don’t think Bruno will survive the season whilst the football has been exciting I think we’ve got a fragility about us that’ll mean he doesn’t get enough results to keep him in a job.

What are we realistically expecting today?

For me, I think we're done.

I expect us to try and get Sanches over the line but can see it just failing to go through. Can't see any other strong links to CBs or CMs that look convincing, and the Botman and DCC bids look to have petered out

Even a dum dum like me could easily call it 13 hours ago. Thoroughly dispiriting.

Hoping Mosquera and Hwang can meaningfully contribute now

It isn't just injuries either. Yellow and red cards come into play, especially for defenders and midfielders. Imagine Neves or Joao get a red, we lose them for a minimum couple of matches. I don't think the board have fully thought any of it through..

We still have good players and a manager implementing a good style, and we have recruited some more talent to it albeit unknown quantities (Hwang, Yerson). The problem is it is so fragile if Neves, Traore or Jimenez get injured.

I think I said 15th/16th a couple of weeks ago as I didn't have faith in the great and good to get players in. I'm still there, but a couple of injuries and a bad next 4 games and it could be really painful
