Summer 2021 transfer window

As said once Boly and Masquera are fit I expect Saiss to be used as back to CM also not out the realms of possibility that Coady is used there in a injury crisis.

I’ll do the clubs speech now “It’s come to our attention that a number of fans are deeply disappointed with no recruitment on final day of the transfer window. The club can confirm that our recruitment team worked tirelessly on numerous targets that unfortunately due to reasons out of our control couldn’t be completed. The recruitment team is equally as disappointed with this. However prior to this they worked incredibly hard to bring in 5 new transfers over the summer and believe we still have a highly competitive squad for the season ahead”
I'd say that's pretty much word for word

Lage and his famed ability to work well with youngsters seems to be plan D. That’s assuming there ever really was much of a plan A B or C and C was Kiefer Moore,

Anyone got a list of out of contract midfielders that we can sign after the deadline? Three seasons in the PL and it comes down to hoping a midfielder doesn't get injured, as if they do we might not make if to 5 seasons.

Wilshere and Bentaleb are available…

If we, as it looks, end up with a smaller squad than we ended last season with then it's a farcical window.

We look pretty stocked in the attacking areas with Traore, Trincao, Podence, Hwang and Neto to return but everywhere else looks poor. Shocking we haven't strengthened the defence or midfield (where we have actively weakened)

The thing is, as other posters have pointed out, is that this window is a symptom rather than the problem.

Where the fuck do we go over the next 2-3 seasons because I can only see us going in one direction. Our better players will want to leave, probably for good money but our recruitment team won't replace them with anything like as good. It all feels a bit, well, inevitable.

Sondergaard also going on loan it seems to Randers

No one is going to be able to answer this but i wonder what Guo thinks. I remember Jeff saying Guo would ask if we needed anymore money and Jeff would say we’re fine but if it isn’t going well does he step in or does he trust him no matter what.

Reality is now Jeff and the board will be desperate for results to improve and we sit comfortable in mid table. If we are in trouble come Xmas things will be very unpleasant since May they’ve sacked the most successful manager in 40 years, failed to deliver in the transfer market and had a PR nightmare on ticketing etc. Fans aren’t stupid (most anyway) and won’t fall for the patronising PR boardroom bollocks.

available CB’s… Jerome Boateng and David Luiz are both available 😱
