Summer 2020 Transfer Window (Extended Version)

I don't think 4 at the back is the strategy, but it would be easier to recruit standard full backs than wing backs. We have Coady remember [emoji3]I think Saiss plays centre half in a 4 for Morroco and Donck did for Anderlecht

I don't think it is either - seems extreme to rip up a style of play and start from scratch in circa four weeks, especially when everybody knows their jobs so well currently. Must just be an evolution of the 3-4-3 / 3-5-2 - a back 4 would mean we can't play Coady.

I can’t see 4 at the back either (literally no time on the training pitch even if they were).

If Jonny was fit then him at RB and Marcal LB would be a good fit. But he isn’t and I don’t think Donck and Saiss are PL level CBs in a 4. Donck is a career DM who got shifted into a 3 in Belgium. Not sure he’s ever played in a 4 for a prolonged period.

He has said Vinicius from Benefica will sign for us too:

That would be weird. Cracking player who had an excellent season last year - but do we *really* need another striker? That would add fuel to the fire that Raul is off.

As for Vinny, I've never been completely sold on him. Defensively he still has a lot to learn and I always felt he was lacking with end product for someone so offensively minded - but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as he is still young and learning. If Nuno has decided that he would like to tweak the system or do something different with the wing backs (I don't believe we'd ever play a back 4 while Coady is still here) then I completely trust his decision. £10m again sounds on the low side though?

Could be going two up front maybe? Or signing Vinicius takes some pressure off Silva to step up ASAP?

Right. Vinícius is not going to sign for us. Officially not worried.

Also, didn't Spiers say literally yesterday that there were 0 standing bids in for Wolves players?

I'm not sure if this Coelho just struck it lucky with the Silva stuff. He reported it, but only after that photo of him and Shi appeared. All he said previously was Porto were looking to sell him to balance for FFP - not specifically saying he would be sold to us (not that I can see anyway).

Thought that was 0 bids for key players such as Adama, Raul & Neves rather than any of the squad

It’s full on Keegan 3 2 5 with Traore and Neto on place of Doc and Vinagre. Lols

I think it means uncle Jorge has more portugeezers en route

'There are currently no bids in for any of Wolves' first-team players.'

No chance of that happening - being strongly linked to United.

I stand corrected.

Big day for Timmy II then

would be ace, for sure, but agree that Reguilón seems quite left field and unlikely

Reguilon was apparently offered to Utd a few days ago according to Romano - nothing has happened yet. Sevilla apparently also want him back on loan.

Would be delighted if we managed it but it seems as likely as Ocampos, i.e. not very. He also took a knock playing for Spain the other night, not sure how bad.

I'd be gutted to see vinagre go. He's flattered to deceive somewhat but always felt like he was trying so hard to make an impact to impress. Thought this few months would be the making of him
