Summer 2020 Transfer Window (Extended Version)

Jordao going out makes the same difference that MGW did, anyone can warm the bench if they aren't ever going to come on. Him leaving is no more a sign that someone is about to come in as it was 10 days ago when Morgan went.

I disagree, in an absolute crisis Jordao plays. In an absolute crisis Cundle or Taylor come in now

How deep a crisis though? Saiss and Dendoncker would play in midfield before him and Kilman and Bennett at the back

An absolute crisis :)

It's taking away a level of risk mitigation for me, like if we loaned out Campana. Campana probably won't play but the next level down is an even worse option

I reckon Traore's positive COVID-19 result may inject some urgency into the RWB push - unless Matheson is seriously impressing.

As for Jordan: meh. He didn't feature for us too much and there are other options in U23 such as Shabani (if he's fit again).

I mean, him going out on loan isn't a disaster but it's less than ideal when we are yet to make new signings. I'd rather Joao and Ruben didn't have to play in the league cup for example.

At the weekend we were told not to panic about only having 13-14 players as Jordao was listed as a first team player.

It does seem weird how many people are super chill about an established player like Doc going, and equally super chill about total unknown quantities like Jordao, Shabani and Campana playing in the PL, or even Matheson starting. I'd be very nervous about all of those scenarios!

Ruddy

Bennett Coady Kilman

Buur Dendoncker Neves Vinagre

Neto Campana Jota/Podence

Would be roughly the team in the league cup I guess?

Then with (those currently not out on loan) Sanderson, Perry, Shabani, Ashley-Seal amongst the subs

I don't think any of those mentioned will be playing in the Premier League this season to be honest. Maybe Campana off the bench a couple of times if he is deemed ready.

I think it will be Villa away levels of weak with nobody who plays against Sheff Utd in the team. Assuming that's 352 then from your side that's no Donck, Neves, Coady or Vinagre replaced by Taylor, Perry, Marques and Edwards

They could well all be Neto style good first team options I just haven't seen enough of them to say confidently (Shabani highly rated for sure). PL is really unforgiving though.

Wouldn't be as much of a problem in league cup, although I'd still like full first team in FA Cup with no Europe

Edwards? Are you trying to bring Dave back??

Like I say, I don't think they will get near the team. Jordao I think would probably cope for a game or two if it got that drastic but the other two I haven't seen at all to comment.

I agree would love a run in one of the cups.

Oh okay! :D

Richard is a left sided centre back. Would be like playing Sanderson right wing-back I guess. As we brought him into the europa squad I supposehe is next in line though. Decent young player though. Got him from Brentford at 15 and at very least think will go similar way to Cameron John.

Bueno is a LWB, he could play.

Do not care about the League Cup at all, bin.

Yeah but Man City will win it as usual :D
