Summer 2020 Transfer Window (Extended Version)

I mean, him going out on loan isn't a disaster but it's less than ideal when we are yet to make new signings. I'd rather Joao and Ruben didn't have to play in the league cup for example.

Are we at the point yet where we can assume the club wouldn’t be allowing all these players to go out unless they were very confident replacements would be coming in? :)

Personally I think Buta will be our first signing. He's only 23, won't cost the Earth, can play either side of defence and at WB.

Versatile, young and not expensive. Fosun's ideal signing.

He's also injured

-edit- transfermarkt just says torn muscle. Doesn't sound promising any which way you cut it (hopefully there is minimal actual cutting involved)

Joey E&S has cleared up the Jordao situation

"Joe Edwards
@JoeEdwards_Star

Had a few questions about Bruno Jordao amid reports in Portugal he's close to joining Famalicao on loan. Understand Wolves are currently weighing up what is best for him. No firm decision made yet over the midfielder. "

So he could leave on loan or stay. Matter closed...

knows a guy who works with wolves and he’s said that acuna is flying over for a medical for about £10m

Expensive medical that...

At the weekend we were told not to panic about only having 13-14 players as Jordao was listed as a first team player.

No, people were called out for trying to claim that we only had 13 players in total.

But instead of having a grown up conversation about it and how we needed some quality replacements in, they decided to act like they were still in the playground.

I can't wait to hear people crying about how we've 'missed out' on him despite him actually not being that good and Wolves probably never being in for him in the first place.

Twitter is just a hysterical place full stop, wouldn't let it get to you, a lot of the fans on there are just kids anyway

Some of Twitter is really good, some of it is really bad. There isn't much of a middle ground there.

People like Danks can get in the sea.

I'm not quite sure why so many people feel the need to panic. I think two consecutive 7th place finishes and the best team in my lifetime means the club deserve a bit of slack. It's almost as if some people need to find something to complain about.

If we're still struggling for signings towards the end of the window then I'll be concerned but for at least the next couple of weeks I'm just going to sit back, relax and see what happens.

I get why people are a bit panicky and worried. Season starts in 15 minutes and we are currently down 2 wing backs and nowt added.

The bits that get on my back are down to the links being made all over the place and as soon as someone mentions a player, people dive in with "PAY THEM WHAT THEY WANT" and such nonsense even if there is 0 evidence we are actually in for the player and then they lose their shit when they sign for someone else

So Arsenal confirm Gabriel Magalhães has signed, so that pushes Tierney back out to WB. Maitland-Niles might as well just accept he is 2nd choice and join us now...

Maitland-Niles wont be coming. Those 2 back to back MOTM performance plus the England call up will have knocked his price up and we wont play the game with them.

The issue I have with the wait until October 5th narrative is we have 4 league games before then. I think we've been set up to fail by circumstance and the PL at Sheff Utd and City at home is always going to be tough, but not having recruitments for West Ham and Fulham would be disappointing. Obviously I'd rather sign the right player on October 5th than the wrong one on September 5th, but I do think there's more to it than just signing people before the end of the window.
