McGeady is way past his best.
We have no idea if Graham will be anything like the same player when he returns. Ditto Zyro.Rather than PL being a known admirer of Aidan McGeady, I'd like him to be a known admirer of Jordan Graham

^^ This, rumors are they didn't get along at Villa, Lambert has a reputation for isolating players he doesn't like for whatever reason.Rather than PL being a known admirer of Aidan McGeady, I'd like him to be a known admirer of Jordan Graham
I agree with this, but if Lambert does already have a poor view of Graham which appears to be true from his Villa days, then getting pissed and not being able to train the week you join in with the first team for the first time in over a year is pretty bloody stupid.^^ This, rumors are they didn't get along at Villa, Lambert has a reputation for isolating players he doesn't like for whatever reason.
Graham......Dicko.......Costa
................Cav..................
This has to happen at some point and I will be gutted if Graham doesn't get a chance to show what he can do again.
I'd like to see us go for Carey of Plymouth argyle, plays at CAM and always seems to get 15+ assists and 10+ goals at that level so could be worth a go here
Yes not a good way to get into the good books. There was a mention of him from Lambert doing "alright" but not being quite ready for a friendly not sure how much we can read into that. I am also sure he knows how good he was for us last season so would be stupid to overlook him.I agree with this, but if Lambert does already have a poor view of Graham which appears to be true from his Villa days, then getting pissed and not being able to train the week you join in with the first team for the first time in over a year is pretty bloody stupid.
I assume we'll sign Weimann on a permanent, he seems to be doing well lately and he won't be expensive so it makes sense.
Other than that I want a striker and a centre back first, then a left back and a central midfielder but only if they are a definite upgrade on what we have. Oh and if we're not going to use Iorfa then get rid and sign an actual right back so we can stop playing a $#@! midfielder out there.
If we lose Cav and Costa then replacing them will be extremely difficult but a big priority.
End of the season replacements permitting Batth & Doc are toast. I think we need 1 top GK, LB, CB, CM (box to box) & a striker. With Graham coming back and Ronan, Bright & MGW we will have a decent squad.
Lambert said 4 signings but I wonder if he sees the weaknesses we do.
Weimann is hopefully a done deal but I want another in the Chris Martin mould.
