I don't disagree, but he never featured seriously and never caused problems in the dressing room. He was a nothing signing who did nothing positive nor negative.

The person who signed him no longer works for the club. Certainly something to do with Zenga and someone telling him to sign him (whether that was Butti or just one of crazy Walter's dutch friends who knows)

Positive - Kept a lot of local restuarants in business.

From reading his comments on going home he struggled with settling in to the country and only had his girlfriend pop over a few times. Also was not expecting the type of football he witnesed and how harsh the defenders are (which he learnt quickly when he got an elbow in the throat v Burton).

Naff signing for all concerned really (well apart from who we signed him from). He has wasted a year of his career and we look like proper chumps paying £1m for him. [TimII]but the wages he got will have kept him happy[TimII/]

The usual methods went out of the window last summer in the trolley dash to bring in players. We went mental with Mendes players, players from the Thelwell list and basically any player we could get hold of whether they were recommended by people in the game or Alan USA
