Southampton 0-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Tottenham are a big club; it's probably not the sort of opportunity any manager with half an ounce of ambition would turn down.

Hm. Touche.

I get what you mean though. I just would have preferred him not to be lining up in the opposition dugout in the PL before his seat here had even gone cold.

I get he has his own career to consider, just seemed slightly unlike him, I'd have expected him to take time to recharge his batteries and then go elsewhere in Europe, a bit like Mourinho did after his first Chelsea spell

When the news first broke I was very much in the "yeah it was probably a mutual thing" camp.

Seeing Nuno turn up at Spurs, I don't think there can be any doubt that he was sacked, plain and simple. Otherwise I think he would have gone back to Portugal at the very least, if not have taken a year off.

I thought GFFH had pretty much confirmed on here that it was at least fairly mutual?

Kind of irrelevant now anyway, have to say I'm a bit over Nuno now. Thanks for all the hard work and great times he gave us.

Seeing how it's going at Spurs now suggests we did the right thing.

Spurs are not as good as their first 3 results, or as bad as the last three. Surprised Nuno hasn't got their defence sorted but it's still early days and one win could turn it around for him.
I think he'll be given time, and not just because they screwed it up last time. Their DOF Parataci wanted Nuno and a more pragmatic style so that should afford him some protection.
Would be surprised if his next job is in England, though.

I wished he'd gone back to Portugal, I care enough about the bloke not to want to see him pilloried and I'm afraid that is coming
It's already here. They probably have the most toxic fans next to Arsenal, and their board seem to reacte to what they do.
Shame for Nuno the man. However much we don't like him at Spurs as a bloke he was very decent to us and generous to our city.

In fairness I don't think a single Spurs defender would improve our XI here.

I don't think all that much of Sanchez.

I like Sanchez, think he would work well in a 2 or 3.

I don't like Reguilon. Decent footballer but can't defend and his antics are Jordi Alba Lite, he's a twat.

Being reported* that Nuno will be happy to go, due to broken promises from the top.

*Duncan Castles is he reliable?

Seems only matter of time.
