Slovan Bratislava 1-2 Wolves: The Verdict

From the (very) little I have been able to see then if we nullify their C/F then they have little else.

Adama & Doherty together works somehow - so a 3 - 4 - 3 formation - centre of the midfield is the only decision to make (the back 3 will depend on who is fit & agree that Kilman comes in ahead of Vallejo for now)

Moutinho and Saïss. Simple.

Disappointed to see the Guardian have not bothered giving us a match report. United and Arsenal have one.

Saiss has been tremendous this season. Really happy about that as it gives us a lot of options. Another great display from Adama again. I am ordering extra humble pie there and thoroughly enjoying the fact I need to.

I'm developing a bit of a man crush on Saiss

All we need is a team of Romain Saiss
A team of Romain Saiss
A team of Romain Saiss

The goal is more on Coady for me, he should be blocking off any shot into the near post. If the striker (who looked good btw, albeit pretty much their only threat going forward) wants to try and bend it around Conor and into the far corner then on you go.
He should, was a bit sluggish to get his body shape right.

However not enough has been said about the pass, it was superb!

BBC didn’t include us at all in the build up thread this morning until they were shouted at about it. Under the radar.

Yep, a lot better than I initially thought now I've watched the highlights.

Raul is possibly the best penalty taker in the world, think about that.

Was driving back from Leeds so couldn’t pick up any coverage until 2nd half. Coverage from national radio stations unless your the live game which is always Man Utd is like something out of the 1950’s. Not even match updates the occasional recap of the score.
Compare that to how talksport and BBC radio cover all other competitions.

Didn't manage to watch the match so I can't say how we did. However, glad for the result! Now we only need to win the last three games and screw Braga cunts.

BT Sport the night before didn’t even advertise the game was on their channel during the Liverpool game.

Five Live and Talksport this morning....

Arsenal, Arsenal, Pepe, Pepe, Man Utd, clean sheet, Man Utd, Celtic, Celtic, fantastic, Celtic.....

Oh....and Wolves won.

Great result, very good 2nd half performance after a tepid (but not 'utterly fucking shit' etc etc...) 1st half display. The atmosphere sounded really odd, and it was a bit shit to see our goals followed by almost total silence. I really think UEFA fucked up by penalising our fans - an away day victory in Bratislava would have been an amazing trip.

Traore's introduction gave us a completely fresh dynamic and it worked wonders. I feel for Cutrone because the way he was deployed in the 1st half simply isn't going to get the best out of him.

I was impressed with Kilman - if we aren't playing Saiss and Bennett at the back, he should be ahead of Vallejo IMO. He looked calm and composed - good to see.

We're in a great position now, it looks much healthier than after the Braga game and I can't wait for the game in 2 weeks - should be a special atmosphere.

Meant to say mate, I'm in Lisboa on the Friday & Saturday after the Braga game if you're about...

To be fair the Arsenal and Celtic games were much more interesting talking points. The Celtic win was absolutely excellent.

I have a B365 account and their commentary was okay. Not sure if there are gambling requirements to get it but if you can't watch it for whatever reason it's better than nothing

Totally agree, its very simplistic but Saiss doesnt always seem content to just move the ball across the pitch to the next player just to get the ball wide.
He has some great long range passing but also likes to check in on his other foot, change the direction of play and put through forward balls.

Saiss is doing what I expected Donk to do and he is doing it very well. Neves and Donk need to up their game or the bench beckons, quite frequently.
