We look good going forward, well Podence and Fabio do, but a little shaky at the back. Decent half of football though tbf.

Weird but kinda enjoyable half. Much better than the usual cup games you get when teams make changes.

We've put together some really nice moves. Podence should always start for us really, his movement is the best by far and he's the most creative. Interesting how him and Silva are sharing defensive duties down the left I thought too.

Weird defensive display. Just lots of stupid decision making. Marcal got lucky with the McGoldrick chance because he got caught completely ball watching.

We miss Joao too. Donck not really made an impression. Would like another goal so we can see Cundle. Be tempted to give Sanderson a half in the back three too

Well this puts to bed the “Marcal can play at LCB” debate. He’s nearly cost us 3-4 goals. Crazy how different the defence looks just losing Saiss. I wouldn’t mind having a look at Sanderson there in the second half.

Adama is the other weak link. Just doesn’t see the game in the same way as the others.

That was my thought! I'm hoping Conte will be arrogant enough to think he can be the one to fashion him into Pele.

Pretty entertaining half, both sides creating. We were fortunate to not be 3-0 down but after that created a handful of good chances playing some good stuff. Weird that after looking so solid defensively it's a struggling Championship side playing 2 journeyman forwards that have given us as much trouble as anyone in recent weeks. Can't be just down to Marcal playing surely?

Fabio and Podence have both been excellent, Fabio showing that those of us that had given up on him, myself included, maybe need to just show a bit more patience with him. There is clearly ability there. Adama has been shocking. About as tuned in as an analogue TV set when the world has gone digital...

I mean, 4 of the back 5 are the same that have put in excellent defensive performances. So it's either Marcal, Ruddy, some combination of the 2, or the players as a whole are playing with less focus than they do normally.

I wouldn't necessarily blame them if it's the latter but they should knock it off as it can easily come back to bite you - for some context Spurs are currently losing at home to Morecombe.
