It's all just very weird.

As DW said the other day, for someone to be essentially sacked/let go for a dip in performance and then get a significantly bigger gig straight away...pretty rare, if not unheard of.

Only example I can think of is Pardew getting that five-and-a-half-year deal at Newcastle when they were in the Prem, out of nowhere, when he'd never looked like the kind of manager who deserved to be working at that level.

Obviously the only time I think any of us would mention Nuno and Pardew together in the same sentence...

I have zero knowledge but I can be confident that until 2 weeks ago there was no plan to put Nuno in at Spurs. Nothing to do with how or why he was allowed to leave Molineux or why last season was in general, a borefest.

I had 2 mins to waste whilst I drank my coffee...spent them well I think.

Nuno really loves us and isn't just, at heart, another badge-kissing mercenary having his strings pulled. Mendes having the DOF and manager at Spurs in his pocket now is just a coincidence, and won't affect us at all
