New - The things that really annoy you

It's because we use a scoring factor to determine if people get bollocked for attendance (occassions x occassions x days) and it does work to weed out the ones who regularly have odd days off here and there. It backfired here though as they changed their stance on COVID a long while ago to include it in that factor (it was exempt previously) as everybody just abused it, especially when they didn't have to give evidence anymore.
So they changed it again, and I honestly think I'm the first one to be there while testing positive. I felt fucking awful last week and still went in, nobody was bothered then. I went in this morning and tested just because Helen tested positive on Friday, and lo and behold I was positive. The reactions ranged from comical to unbelievable.

I bet these people who have a myriad of reasons not to do work because of me (I'm probably not even contagious anymore) don't fucking alter their lifestyle outside of work if COVID is such a massive threat to them. Absolute cunts.
We had a similar points policy where I used to work, each occasion you were absent your score multiplied by itself, so four seperate days off a year meant you accrued 64 points and were issued with a written warning.
My young daughter was admitted to hospital with a serious illness, so I took 2 days of to be with her, and was promptly issued a final warning with 128 points, threatened them with a tribunal with acas support, warning revoked and came out office with a small promotion and pay rise. :) .

Handed my notice in, 2 weeks later.

The cunts are now make the buyers pay for something the sellers decide, i feel like if i'm buying i should get to decide who i'm paying for that particular "service". That 1% you're asking me to pay is coming straight off my offer before i even begin to think about what i'm actually going to offer.

This is why the Bradford factor isnt a fair way to weigh up the impact of absenteeism.
People will obviously take the piss and BF should then be implemented as part of an attendance improvement plan, but as a blanket policy, its unfair to those who have genuine illnesses. You should have different trigger points based on your past attendance.

Absolute carnage in town. High street shut for 3 hours to allow The Sons of William orange order to march around the town.

Police complain about having to close the top of the high street for 45minutes for the Remembrance Sunday parade but 3 fucking hours for these pricks on market day

What the fuck have they even got to do with the town?

Had roads closed around home in wednesfield because a twat decided to barricade himself into his house wuth a shotgun, 23hrs later a series of cluster of bangs/flashes and police storm into his house, twat arrested and no one hurt.

Wonder what that operation cost? Why not storm sooner?

Yeah I get that, but there was 20+ armed response there at times, rotating every few hours, a main road and side roads was closed, involving a further 8, and the method they used to gain entry meant he didn't discharge the shotgun.
They had access from 3 sides of a semi and through the neighbours attic after about an hour, yes there may have been risks, but I don't think the risk were any higher than backing him into a corner and leaving him to decide whether he wants to come out to face jail or in a bag.

fucking arseholes who in big crowds of people, in restricted space on pavements etc, choose to fucking amble slowly whilst looking at their phones, instead of paying attention to where the fuck you're going, and what is going on around you.
Leaving the ground sunday was a nightmare because of self obsessed mofo's like this. What is so urgent? Surely it would make more sense to either get clear of the crowd, or alternatively step to one fucking side if you do have important shit to read?

Please tell me you typed this post on your phone whilst walking?

I can't believe it riled you up so much that you still had to post about it 20 hours later on the internet :ROFLMAO:

It was always the people that couldn't wait 60 seconds to get outside before having to light a cigarette that used to piss me off.

If it's anything like the young 'uns around us, they'll be checking their Fantasy Football teams.

Right outside the ground you can sort of understand it because they're looking at the other scores. The phone reception is so shit at Molineux I'm basically on a complete information blackout until I get back outside the ground.

looking at the scores that are on the big screen, and also on the tvs in the stands too?
and that only takes a glance.
it isn't just restricted to leaving the ground though. a growing number of people are becoming so self interested, and/or so insular that they pay no attention to the world around them and walk around all the time focused on their phones, rather than paying attention.

It's not a phone thing on matchdays. People just fucking dawdle, before kick off and after full time. It's infuriating.

I think that's fair, very noticeable over the last 5-10 years. Very Black Mirror-esque.

Yeah, idiots walking to the SteveBull stand with ketchup mustard and chilli sauce all down their undersized 2021 wolves tops after queueing 20 mins to get their burgers, then moaning about the crowd trying to get in with 10 mins till kick off :)
