not so much annoying as fucking angry,
I got properly ghosted on a job this morning, applied for a bike mechanic job, fairly local bike shop that involved a train there and back but would be doable daily, they’d seen my qualifications when I sent my cv, we’d had a phone chat that seemed to go ok, they asked me to go in for a practical test which all bike shops do, this is usually build a bike or check a bike over and tell me the faults you find or what you think need’s repairing.
Anyway got the train out there, got to the bike shop, it’s closed! Phoned the contact numbers no answer, left messages, nothing went off for a cup of tea to calm down, trying ringing again nothing.
I’m back home now, and waiting to see if they call back if they do and it’s a good excuse like they’re dead I’ll be fine and let them off and reschedule

Will "sorry, had a puncture" suffice?

They have actually, it’s the person I was ringing, it’s a small shop, owner who’s the mechanic atm but needs another mechanic in so he can deal with the shop side of it better.
I’m guessing they’ve got a family issue going on which I’m happy to forgive, it’s the just not bothering to contact me thats annoying, a text saying “ sorry about today, personal issues, I’ll be in touch” takes 30 seconds to type would do

After spending a few days flagging everything as phishing it seems (for now) to have reverted to normal.

I had relatively loads recently too but it's stopped now, thankfully

Still no contact from them, still not answering the phone or emails.

If its a one man band they may have family or personal issues. By being closed they are not making money - people don't take that lightly.

I get that, a text that takes 30 seconds to type would help rather than completely vanishing, nothing on their social media either like they’ve done in the past

pre ordered an album in november when it was announced. knew that they'd take the payment on order, not dispatch which isn't ideal, but hey. release date is 31 jan.
today, receive an email stating release pushed back to may. fucking may.
now, I get if there are production issues they want it to be right. but if there is going to be a 4 month delay, surely you know more than a week before the fucking release.

slightly related, pre ordered the new mogwai album due out today. not even been dispatched yet....
