Middlesboro 1 - 2 Wolves: Verdict

Collymore’s a massive thraper.

Attwell lost the plot very early on when he didn't book Traore for pulling back Douglas and then didn't book Shotton for blatantly kicking Douglas when the ball was already out of play for which we only got a throw in. The Leadbitter challenge was very poor as he definitely didn't go for the ball and just tried and succeeded in taking Cav out so he could have seen red.

I think Neves' first booking was for dissent as he was in Attwell's ear all game and when Doc took Traore out he went over and had a word with the linesman, on his way back he was booked. His second booking looked fair enough at the time but having seen the replay i'm pretty sure he tries to pull out of the challenge and slips so was a little unlucky. Doc's first booking was also fair enough but no way his second is, an absolute shocking decision.

On the celebrations at full time, who can blame Nuno, the staff and the players. It's like everyone has tried everything to beat us and especially yesterday so when they came running over to us we and i think pretty much every other Wolves fan watching loved it. It's us against everyone and everyone hates us, you know when it's like that you are either horrible or just very good, we're definitely the latter.

Doesn't he claim to be a Luton fan?

That’s where he went to uni. A good mate of mine went to uni with him and said he’s a “cracking bloke and a good laugh”.

I message my mate every single time we have him referee one of our games to tell him his mate is a “useless cunt”.

Personally I think not shaking the hand of the opposition manager is out of order even if he is a prick. I've not seen the celebrating in Pulis' face that supposedly happened but if he did then that's out of order as well. I like Nuno's passion and don't have an issue with his goal celebrations or running on the pitch, but at the same time he needs to stay the right side of classy.

Agree with this - needs to be more gracious in victory, though I can understand his emotion as my TV was getting some serious abuse last night.

Managed to watch the game here in the States.
Never liked Pulis never liked Attwell either.
Again I honestly didn't think we'd loose even with 9 men against 12. Could have played another 30 minutes and I don't think they would've scored another our defense is solid!

On a side note, I just realized after changing my flights back home I land at Heathrow at 11am on the 11th, what are the chances of driving up and bagging a ticket for the Derby game?

Would buy your ticket beforehand as there isn't many left. Quadrant there is about 250 left, and then about another 50 or so across the Steve Bull and Billy Wright Uppers. You can buy online and print at home

I think he realised this in hindsight as he mentioned Pulis in his interview with Sky after the game.

Well that was an overall great first visit to the Riverside. Mixed with the home fans before the game in a couple of pubs with no bother. Thought their fans behind the goal provided great support.

As for the game don’t think I’ve had a more nervous finish to a match for a long while. Took a very long time for calmness to return to normal on the journey back.

On to Tuesday night.

I think last night was a one off. At Full Time (if on the pitch) he has shook everyones hand in victory or not. I think the pure emotion of winning with 9 men and the way we defended alongside the antics of Pulis and co during the game. Guarantee the moment he started to "come down" he will have gone to find Pulis.

Still makes me smile that we were told when he arrived that Nuno shows zero emotion.

Football is all about emotion and Nuno shows that and gives everything for this club. All game Pulis was having a go at Nuno and our bench and then adding to the fact that everything went against us then who can blame him for letting all that emotion come out. I've no doubt that they shook hands later on and Nuno probably apologised because as he has shown all season he is classy and humble but sometimes the passion takes over and who can blame him.

I don't get this. Pulis sent his players out to cheat and intentionally injure our players, that is a 1000x worse than not shaking a hand, but it doesn't get mentioned at all. Pulis is a cheat, simple as, why on earth anyone would want to speak to him or shake his hand beggars belief.

What a win! I'm in absolute bits from metaphorically kicking and heading every ball for the last 20 mins, I have huge bruises on my shins from the celebrations as well!

Can't believe we've finally managed to win at Boro, another hoodoo smashed!

Thought Helder had a great game, he seems to be less dynamic and more of a team player under Nuno, he was absolutely shattered by the time he came off. Not quite Roman Saiss shattered though!

If he was born in Nuneaton it could have been school, actually. Or some sort of sports course as my mate works for British Athletics. I shall find out, now!

Ask your mate to get him to re watch this game and then ask if there's anything old Stewie could have done better
