People ott on here about the first save, that one was top class though
Its ok saying we should have closed Gvardiol down, close him down and you leave one of their more attacking players with a space, or Kovacic, or Stones. It's not easy against a team of their level
After seeing Johnstone for a few games I prefer Sa tbh. Both have ricks in their game but Sa is a better shot stopper and seems less rooted to his line.Sa sending a big message to GON and Hobbs.
Let’s be honest, Sa could have the best game of his career today & that muppet Gaz will have Johnstone back between the sticks as soon as he’s fit again.Sa sending a big message to GON and Hobbs.
You’ve got to manage the immediate threat a free hit on goal 20 yards out is imminent danger not like it was 35 yard screamer. It’s ok saying we should have closed Gvardiol down, close him down and you leave one of their more attacking players with a space, or Kovacic, or Stones. The basics of defending demand that you close down the ball when there is a threat on your goal. We didn't identify the threat soon enough and stood off waiting. It is not acceptable. Sure, I accept it isn't easy but keep leaving quality opponents these shooting opportunities and they will score goals. Its ok saying we should have closed Gvardiol down, close him down and you leave one of their more attacking players with a space, or Kovacic, or Stones. Just pointing out man for man they are streets ahead of us and many others in world football. They've got half a dozen players on the bench that would walk into our starting eleven.Alright Gary, chill out
