Good hit, Sa got a couple of fingers to it but not enough to change the flight of it. Doubling up on Doku leaves a lot of space inside that right channel though.

Teams just love scoring screamers against us.

But yeah - we’ve had about 6% possession in their final 3rd over the last 15 minutes. We can’t just sit back and defend the edge of the area against a team who are this good.

We've tried to counter but given the ball away every time. Recipe for that sort of stat.

Yeah he does well to even get a hand on that. This is feeling like under McCarthy teams would spank long rangers and quality hits like that against us all too frequently due to lack of pressure or sitting too deep.

Puzzled why Doku isn't taking Semedo on as he'd easily do him for pace. He has so much space to do so....

Way way too easy for City on that right side of the field. The ball behind, the ball back across the box... we need to work harder... Gomes needs to help Semedo more than he is.

I’m happy we’re still in the game, but I don’t think this is some sort of “tactical masterclass” from Gary O’Neil, by the way.

It’s the same setup that a plucky league 2 outfit would play against City in a cup match.

We’re literally defending on the edge of our area and then hoping someone who has a bit of energy left can get in behind City when we hoof it clear.

It’s not sustainable against most sides (we’ve already lost trying to play like this against Newcastle & Villa) and it certainly isn’t sustainable against a team like City.
