Man City 0 - 2 Wolves: The Verdict Thread

But we didn't dominate for 90 minutes. Still not convinced..............

Not meaning to reopen a debate that probably went on too long in the first place... but it would help a lot to the general climate of this forum if people argued against other posters' actual comments rather than against ridiculously exaggerated straw men. Literally not a single poster has suggested we need to dominate games to be successful, I'd wager more or less everyone on here is happy with classic Nuno-style 30% possession games as long as we do something useful with the ball when we do have it.

Your post might be tongue in cheek, if so don't take this personally, but it's a lot more pleasant on here when people behave like grown ups.

Can someone PM in about 4 hours because I’m not going to be in a fit state to remember it. That’s up there with some of the best performances I’ve ever seen us produce considering the quality of the opposition.

Flawed thought process - if you are not in a fit state then you won't notice the PM arriving till tomorrow anyway.

As said on another thread for this, and other personal reasons, this has been one of the best weekends I have had for some time.

That post was clearly 'tongue in cheek'

Only neg to that performance is that Real Madrid will shortly be plotting a £200m swoop for Nuno and Adama...

Best Sunday in a long time, born when I was I’ve started to realise nothing feels better than away top flight win in any sport, especially at one of the best sides in Europe.

Did you see Nuno and Adama together afterwards? That was a real 'I love it when a plan comes together' moment. I don't think I've ever seen a player look so happy. Talk about perseverance rewarded and faith repaid. Top marks to everyone today (although it's a shame our two strikers didn't manage to get on the scoresheet as well), but that was a real masterclass by Nuno. Looks like he might know what he's doing after all, then. What a week!

Sycophantia's gaffer? I backed Wolves at 30/1 on Betfair and laid some of it off when we scored the first goal. 30/1 was just plain madness

Maybe I should get into this betting lark.....looks like its a piece of piss

In the past 12 months, they have now beaten all of the 'big six' in the Premier League apart from Liverpool, who they knocked out of last season's FA Cup.

Only just got to the thread as spent the afternoon finding and deleting all my posts where I said Traore should be sold. Fantastic day, the feeling now compared to the other week.

Only listened on the Radio but any update on what Saiss went off with?

Gutted I missed it due to travelling down to Spurs. Was cheering in the car though, along with my mate who's a plastic scouser! Definitely going to download the game tomorrow when I get back.

'They'? Who is this 'they' you speak of?

oh was there a game on today? :hmmm:

:happy::Victory:

What a great team performance, best we've played this season imo, more like last season.
Its probably a good thing Nuno's in charge rather than me cos I thought that starting line-up was mental but turns out it was a tactical master class. Vinagres best defensive performance in a Wolves shirt and Traore did his bit too. Thought we'd missed the boat with those early misses but we kept going. I'm guessing it was always the plan if it was 0-0 after an hour to bring on Jonny and Doc as City pushed for a goal and to play Traore up front and get him one on one with a defender. Two really good finishes and excellent assists by Raul who I had thought looked like he was running in treacle in the first half, he's really earned a good rest. Great day to be a Wilves fan.

Cant wait to see Jeds player ratings, 7's all round I rekon with a 9 for Traore

we have now played 5 of the current top 7 and only one defeat.
