Man City 0 - 2 Wolves: The Verdict Thread

City sure weren't at their best, but we didn't allow them any space! For once and what a game to do it, we controlled the midfield and gave those fuckers in pale blue no space and no room to assert themselves.
Superb display. Cant wait for MOD tonight.

It's 2.35am here in Oz - how am I going to get sleep with work only a few hours away !

"They defend. They play long balls and defend, they then go on the counter. It is physical team, a strong team so know how good they are. We know their qualities and we knew how they scored the goals. "

And your million poundsworth of defenders STILL couldn't stop Traore... Twice!!
Our new strikeforce!!
Jimenez, Jota and Traore....
Sorry, I've just salivated all over my keyboard...

When I saw the team selection I thought it was do or die, either extreme foolishness or amazing bravery and it turned out to be the latter. Was losing Saiss a blessing in disguise? I don't think it harmed us, Bennett did a great job. Now if we can only defend that staunchly, attack so decisively and everyone play like that every week we will be fine.

Can I make a confession ? For 15 minutes before he scored I was slagging him off for not getting up off his arse when he went down and the ref didn't blow.

I forgave him later though #ficklebastard

At least twice. I was yelling at him for giving the ball away cheaply too. 5 minutes later...

Who was the guy on here who put a bet on Wolves to win??

Enjoy your holiday mate! Solid punting.

We were just as solid with Saiss on.

The organisation and guile that epitomises a Nuno Wolves team. The wheels are starting to roll again. Traore regularly puts the ball in the net and he becomes a £200M player - (well maybe £150M). This was never a team that even slightly resembled a team that could drop.

Sycophantia's gaffer? I backed Wolves at 30/1 on Betfair and laid some of it off when we scored the first goal. 30/1 was just plain madness

Keep post match posting on the build up thread!!! Idiot!

Not gonna bother reposting, just absolutely fickin chuffed.

We were 19/1 with Skybet this morning, which I thought was too big a price. Had a tenner at lunchtime but it had annoyingly come in to 15’s. Still take it though!

I have to watch the game back again. But that was fucking amazing

What a result! I had a suspicion we would put up a real fight today but to win two-nil away to city is just unreal. Surely one of the bigger scalps for us in recent years? Adama will probably be shite again next game but the lad has some extreme skills that could be invaluable to us if Nuno can find a way to utilise them.

What a win! The late goal in Turkey and today's result make it all worthwhile after sitting through some of the poor performances in the first few games.

So pleased for Adama and Nuno. I really wanted Traore to be a success and I'm delighted at his transformation this season.

It will be nice to enjoy MOTD for a change!

Can someone PM in about 4 hours because I’m not going to be in a fit state to remember it. That’s up there with some of the best performances I’ve ever seen us produce considering the quality of the opposition.
