Loan Watch 2024/2025

Chirewa is playing for Derby U23 team tonight. Currently losing to Chelsea

Goal for Silva at Barca to take the lead

He's starting for us in the championship next season
He really isn't. Bridges well and truly burned on that one.

Hopefully some bunch of dumb fools will see a winning goal at the nou camp and give us an over value.

Maybe as much as two packets of cheese and onion.

Bumper update to make up for last week:

Fabio Silva - Las Palmas, La Liga

Last week: Played the full game in a 3-2 defeat at home to Mallorca. Scored the penalty to equalise at 2-2, but then his side was on the wrong end of an indirect free kick for the winner. Chiquinho (who had just come on as a late sub) played his part by dummying the ball before his colleague smashed it in.

Goal on 1:50

This week: Played the full game and scored the winner in a 2-1 win at Barcelona. Took the goal well after pouncing on a mistake and holding off the defender to fire home. The win lifts them up to the giddy heights of 14th.

Goal on 2 minutes:

Ki-Jana Hoever - Auxerre, Ligue Un

Last week: Played a full game in a 1-0 win vs Angers and floated a lovely ball behind the defence to set up the headed winner.
This week: No game

Marvin Kaleta - Motherwell, Scottish Premiership

Last week: Played 90 minutes of a 2-1 defeat at Ross County
This week: Played the full game in a 3-0 loss at home to Hibs. Was guilty of some weak defending on the back post which let in his opponent to set up the second.

Nigel Lonwijk - Huddersfield Town, League One

Last week - Played the full game in a 2-0 win at Orient that pushed them up to 5th spot. Was judged to have fouled the keeper for a goal that was disallowed but then cleared a later effort off the line.
This week - No game

Chem Campbell - Reading, League One

Last week - Played the full game in a 2-2 draw at Barnsley and got an accidental assist for the first after he cut inside, shot at goal, and his team-mate deflected it in.
This week - Came on after an hour of Reading's 5-3 win cup win Vs seventh-tier Harborough. Score was 3-3 after normal time but Campbell got a brace in ET to win the tie for Reading - two decent goals as well.

Goals from 2:30

Chiquinho RCD Mallorca, La Liga

Last week: Came on as late sub as mentioned
This week: Unused sub

Nathan Fraser - Zulte Waregem, Belgian Challenger Pro League

Last week: Came on as sub for the last 15 minutes in a 5-1 home win
This week: Unused sub

Tyler Roberts - AFC Fylde, National League

Last week: Game postponed
Midweek: Not in squad
This week: Played the full game in a 2-0 loss at Sutton Utd. Showed some good footwork down the right to get in a decent shot that was slid behind by a defender.

Jimmy Storer - Darlaston Town, NPL Division One Midlands

Last week: Played in a 1-1 draw away
This week: No game

Not in squad: Bueno, Lembikisa, Chirewa, Hodge

Chem Campbell did have a game this week mate - scored two off the bench for Reading this afternoon as they scraped past Harborough Town.

Chem Campbell scored two in extra time in the fa cup today btw!

Fraser must be so pissed off with this loan
Probably, but equally he’s got responsibility to bear for not being good enough to get more minutes at that level, although with Zaregem top there may be a reticence to change anything there.

Pretty big omission that one! Edited.

That'll teach me to assume all FAC games were played on Saturday.

I think a move to Spain or Portugal is the best solution for Fabio going forward

Midweek update:

Nigel Lonwijk and Chem Campbell both played full games. NL in a 1-0 home win vs Wigan that sends them up to 4th, CC in a 3-0 win vs Cambridge - he contributed to their 2nd and 3rd with some good work down the right each time. Reading are now also in the play-off spots.

On as sub: Marvin Kaleta came on after 68 minutes in Motherwell's 4-1 defeat at Dundee Utd.

Unused sub: Chiquinho, Silva (cup), Fraser
Not in squad: Lembikisa
