There's only really Yerson that is realistically going to come back and have an impact on our first team squad next season. I'd have Hoever & Chiquinho here as part of the squad next season as they're better bench options than what we've had available for the last 3 months - but that's on the assumption we're not going to do much business numbers wise.

Everyone else out on loan isn't good enough or doesn't want to be here.

Last mid-week

Hoever played the full game in a 3-0 defeat at Swansea, while Cundle came on as sub at HT.

Lonwijk played the full game in a 0-0 draw at home to Derby in what looked to be a LB role. He seemed to get forward well.

Farmer played 71 minutes of a 4-0 win and scored the opening goal, a fine left-footed effort from the edge of the area.

Weekend round-up

Yerson Mosquera - Villarreal, La Liga

Played the full game in a 1-1 draw at Bilbao.

Fabio Silva - Rangers, SPL

Played 54 minutes of a 3-2 defeat at Ross County. Flicked on a corner to get an assist for the opener, then had a shot deflected which Rangers should have scored from the rebound. Subbed at 2-1 down.

Joe Young - Buxton, National League South

Played in a 2-0 win at home to bottom club Bishop Stortford.

On as sub: Cundle came on for the last 20 minutes and scored a huge equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Sheff Weds, a great finish from the edge of the box.

Guedes played the last half hour of Villarreal’s draw, had a powerful shot on target well saved.Bolla came on for the last 5 minutes of Servette’s loss at Basel, Hubner made another small cameo at the end of a 1-0 win. Owen Farmer played the last half an hour or so in a 3-0 defeat at Southport.

We should have left him where he was, Stoke is not a good environment (speaking from a footballing perspective although Stoke's own @Johnny75 may confirm that it applies 24/7).

Rarely has us moving a player mid-season to a supposed "better" club worked out. If they're not playing then fair enough but if they are and they're settled then leave it alone.

Manager likes him but I think he was the wrong signing for them in January. They survive and Stoke will sign him and Schumacher will change how they play and he will do more for them

Only happened because of the manager change though. We clearly trusted him with Cundle but to get a return on that trust they need to survive. Happy for them to do that if it means Birmingham go down

Interesting that Hoever was dropped to the bench. He seems to have played pretty consistently through some dreadful patches of form, finally contributed with a few goals/assists and then gets dropped.

Messaged my mate for a report on Chiquinho as he is a sporting fan, his report was:

"Played well him, created quite a few headaches during the 2nd half, and had a good chance but missed the shot."

6.8 rating on FotMob, which was their joint 2nd highest for what that's worth.

Not the correct thread, but Sporting's goal was scored by Pedro Goncalves off a Trincao assist.
