Can they afford 8m? Seems about right.

Their fans forum is Hobnob Anyone? for this reason too.

Seems a shame to give Biscuitmen up for one as generic as The Royals which is more Wiltshire (Windsor) than Reading proper.

Tease my Reading fan friend about this mercilessly. (We're both republicans)

There is a little non story on my phone news feed that they are hoping Champions league qualification would mean they could purchase him, although the main thing attributed to that seems to be an older quote where the manager said they'd preferred to have purchased him over a loan, but couldn't.

So, uh… why are we “Wanderers”? Molineux’s never been on wheels AFAIK.

Weekend roundup:

Daniel Podence - Olympiacos, Greek Premier League
Played 80 minutes of a 3-1 defeat at home to Panathinaikos in a league play-off. Scored the opening goal with a cracking shot in off the bar.

Goal around 1:15

Fabio Silva - Rangers, SPL
Played the full game in a 2-0 win at Hibs and scored the second to help put them through to the Cup semi final.

Dexter Lemikisia - Hearts, SPL
Played 59 minutes of a 1-0 cup win at Greenock Morton as Hearts joined Rangers in the SFs.

Ki-Jana Hoever - Stoke City, Championship
Played another full game in a 2-1 win at Preston that takes them clear of the drop zone. It was his free kick into the area that led to the head down for the winner.

Nigel Lonwijk - Wycombe Wanderers, League 1
Started his first game in a while, played the full game in a 2-1 win at Reading and bagged a spectacualar overhead kick. Was also involved in last-minute goal-line block that sealed the win.

Louie Moulden, - Northampton Town, League 1
Played in a 1-1 draw at Cambridge.

Harry Birtwistle - Oxford City, National League
Played the full game in a 2-2 draw at Rochdale.

Joe Young - Buxton FC, National League North
Played in a 3-0 win at Rushall

Owen Farmer - Rushall Olympic FC, National League North
Came up against Joe Young in the same game.

On as sub: Bolla only played the last few minutes of Servette's 3-1 win but still got an assist by whipping in a great corner that was headed in. Chem Campbell came on for the last 20 minutes and won the penalty for Wycombe's winner at Reading. Mosquera was dropped from the team and only came on in stoppage time to help see out a 3-2 win at Betis (Guedes didn't even leave the bench). Chiquinho played the last 20 minutes or so of a 1-0 defeat at Vitoria.

Unused subs: Cundle, Hodge, Guedes, Hesketh

Not in squad: McLeod

Mosquera subbed on for Eric Bailly in the second half for Villarreal Vs Marseille. They're currently 2-0 up but 4-2 down on aggregate. Guedes started and has an assist.

Silva playing on the left wing for Rangers Vs Benfica. Currently 0-0 (2-2).

Podence scores for Olympiacos. Just the three more to go to qualify.
