Loan Watch 2021-22

🇨🇦Oh, Canada...🇨🇦

He’s really not had a good time of it since he signed for us. So much disruption and shows that he’s not kicked on much that he’s going to 23rd in league one. He’s definitely a long term one mind with his physical development
League 2. He's now playing at a lower level than he was when we signed him 2 years ago. The fact that's as good as we could get for him speaks volumes. I said at the time it was a punt, that's all it was. It'll be a costly one, but on the whole we win more than we lose on those type of deals.

Marques back, Jack Scott going to St Patrick's as per TimII

A short update considering the number of loanees we have.

Theo Corbeanu - MK Dons, League One

A great debut for Corbeanu who scored the screamer posted above.

Luke Matheson - Scunthorpe, League Two

A full game on his debut, but his tough one as Scunny lost 2-0 at Exeter. Was caught napping at the back post for the second.

Renat Dadashov - C.D. Tondela, Portuguese Primeira Liga

Played a full game in a 2-2 draw at Tondela, but no goals or assists once again. Was unlucky not to score with a shot from the edge of the box though.

Jackson Smith - Kettering Town, National League North

Played in a 3-0 win and made a couple of good saves to keep the clean sheet.

Joe Young - Matlock Town, Northern Premier League

Made his debut at Witton Albion and kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win that keeps Matlock four points clear at the top.

On as sub: Cutrone came on after 84 mins in a 1-1 draw.

Unused subs: Richards, Vinagre

Not in squad: MGW, Lonwijk

Corbeanu is with MK Dons now, Sedgley. Scored an absolute screamer too.
Indeed. For some reason I thought that was posted midweek AND that he was still at Sheff Wed. Need to up my game!

Yeah, his loan only ran until the end of December. The Danish league has a break until mid-February so pointless him being there (was pointless anyway).

Connor Ronan is back fit again . Played for St. Mirren last night in a win v Dundee UTD .

Is probably time to accept that Ronan isn't going to be the player I thought he would be.

Time to move him on I think

An impressive Patrick Cutrone header bounced off the bar onto the keeper and into the net for an own goal last night, in Empoli's 3-2 loss (AET) at Inter in the Coppa Italia. Cutrone played the full two hours.

Joe Young also kept up his perfect start at Matlock, another clean sheet in a 0-0 draw.

I imagine Wolves will find a way around this with their carefully managed transfer system...

Edit: just saw this was posted on another thread with DW suggesting something very similar to this. Great minds.

Leo Campana on loan to Inter Miami for 6 months (basically the full MLS season).

As expected, Kawabe back to Grasshoppers for the season.
