Loan Watch 2018-2019

See, my problem with Hause was always that he had this reputation for being a ball playing centre half and he always tried to play up to that. His best performances were always when we had our backs to the wall and he could focus on just purely defending. He always seemed to see himself as a bit of a Willy Boly type CH but if he had focused on being a bit more like Ryan Bennett he'd be a much better player IMO. But then I suppose that would go against the #balla image he liked to revel in.

From this weekend;

Kortney Hause - Aston Villa, The Champioship.

Kept his place in the side for the visit of Albion and produced a bright display despite being played out of position. Got forward well and whipped in a wonderful ball that Abraham really should have headed home. Still subject to criticism from Villa fans though who seem to think Hause should be putting in McGrath-esque performances to magically get them out of the cesspit of problems they're in.

Bright Enobakhare - Coventry City, League One

Played 76 minutes of a 3-0 win over Walsall. Won a penalty for the third and slotted it home, which is a good job as he skied an absolute sitter before. An encouraging display, however, that sees him continue a promising run in the side.

Jordan Graham - Oxford United, League One.

A full game at home to Peterborough. Was picked as the sponsors MOTM but to no avail as his team slipped to a 1-0 defeat.

Ben Goodliffe – Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.

A full game in a 2-0 defeat at home to Gateshead.

Aaron Hayden - Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Premier.

A full game in a 1-0 win over St Neots.

Christian Herc - FC DAC 1904, Slovakian Superliga.

Re-started his season with a derby against Slovan Bratislava and was replaced by Connor Ronan after 84 minutes in a 1-0 defeat.

Phil Ofosu-Ayeh - FC Wurzburger Kickers, German 3rd Liga.

A full game in a 2-0 defeat at home to former club Hansa Rostock.

FC Jumilla. Leak and Yang both played 90 minutes of a 3-1 defeat. Seedorf also made his debut and got an assist for the goal before being subbed after an hour for Hanne.

Late cameos: Wilson (on 80 minutes to make his Exeter debut, had two efforts on goal in that time but couldn't score), Mir (on 75 minutes) Zyro (on 88 minutes),

Unused subs: Bonatini, Mir, Ashley-Seal, Miranda, Deslandes, Ruddy.

Not in squad: Johnson, Miranda, Csoka.

No game: EEL (Wimbledon in FA Cup), Burgoyne (game postponed).

Both Graham and EEL played 90 minutes mid-week with the latter getting another goal.

Graham appears to be a key member of the team but is struggling to find an end product while EEL is living up to his tag as 'a free-scoring defender who can't really defend, as the video below demonstrates:

In other news, Miranda didn't make the squad for Olympiaco's Europa League exit against Dinamo Kiev.

From the weekend:

Kortney Hause - Aston Villa, The Champioship.

Another 90 minutes at left-back for Birmingham's third highest ranking club. Was said to have had a strong game, linking up well with El Ghazi down the left and getting a great ball in for Abraham to force a good save out of Butland.

Bright Enobakhare - Coventry City, League One

Played 84 minutes in a 1-1 draw at Luton and had a quiet game, not involved in any of his side's chances.

Jordan Graham - Oxford United, League One.

Scored a cracker of a free-kick to win the game at Blackpool and also received the MOTM award to cap off a lively 70 minute display.

Goal on 50 seconds:

Ethan Ebanks-Landell - Rochdale, League One.

A bit of a #headsgone moment for EEL who decided to handle a pass that was destined to put a Plymouth player through on goal, thus getting himself sent off with the score at 1-1. His team then crumbled and shipped 4 goals in the second half to lose 5-1.

Ben Goodliffe – Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.

A full game in a 1-0 win over Sutton United.

Harry Burgoyne - Falkirk, Scottish Championship.

Had a heart in the mouth moment as he let a shot drop through his hands but it bounced wide. Not much he could do about the goal he conceded though in a 1-1 draw with Dundee United.

Aaron Hayden - Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Premier.

Another 90 minutes in a 1-0 defeat.

Christian Herc - FC DAC 1904, Slovakian Superliga.

A full game in a 3-1 defeat.

Roderick Miranda - Olympìacos, Greek Premier League.

Randomly back in the side for the full game in a 5-1 win.

FC Jumilla. Leak and Yang both played 90 minutes of a 3-1 defeat. Seedorf also made his debut and got an assist for the goal before being subbed after an hour for Hanne.

Subbed on: Conor Ronan (62 mins), Rafa Mir (74 mins), Donovan Wilson (82 mins), Leo Bonatini (85 mins) , Michal Zyro (85 mins).

Unused subs: Ashley-Seal, Csoka, Afosu-Ayeh, Ruddy.

Not in squad: Johnson

Superb work as always Sedge.

EEL is bloody awful.

Cracking loan for Ashley Seal. Four minutes in a possible five games.

Our loan system is a shambles.

Superb work as always Sedge.

EEL is bloody awful.
Brainless footballer. I'll never forget him chasing that big lump Leeds had up front halfway around the pitch only for them to play one pass into the space EEL should've been in to score.

Donovan Wilson made his first start for Exeter on Tuesday, playing an hour of a 1-1 draw at Lincoln, and nearly scored with a header that he put just over.

From this weekend:

Kortney Hause - Aston Villa, The Champioship.

Another 90 minutes at left-back and contributed to the first clean sheet since his arrival in a 4-0 thumping of Derby. Booked.

Bright Enobakhare - Coventry City, League One

A second goal of the season for Bright who got the winner for his side at Accrington – a fine finish after slaloming past two defenders on the edge of the area. Described as ‘unbelievable’ by Mark Robins, he could have had a second but the shot drifted just wide.

Jordan Graham - Oxford United, League One.

Not such a lively performance this week but his team did beat Scunthorpe 2-1 at home to record back-to-back wins. Swung in a wicked cross in the second half that was just tipped off the head of the forward by the keeper. Subbed with 5 to go.

Donovan Wilson – Exeter City, League Two.

Kept his place in the team at home to Tranmere and started brightly but unfortunately picked up a knock just before the half hour mark and was taken off.

Ben Goodliffe – Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.
Another full game in a 1-1 draw with Harrogate.

Harry Burgoyne – Falkirk, Scottish Championship.

Made a couple of good saves at Greenock Morton but will be disappointed at conceding a soft goal after he was caught flat-footed on his line. Finished 1-1.

Christian Herc - FC DAC 1904, Slovakian Superliga.

Played the full game in which is side grabbed a dramatic last minute winner. Was joined by Connor Ronan after 74 minutes.

Roderick Miranda - Olympiacos, Greek Super League.

Played a full game in a 2-0 away win as they moved within seven points of the leaders.

FC Jumilla. Leak, Deslandes, Hanne and Yang all started and played the full game in a 1-0 win, the winner being dramatically scored by Hanne in the last minute - a neat chip over the keeper after being put through one-on-one. Quite a feisty affair with three of the four picking up a yellow.

Goal on 3 mins 20 secs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=¡18yi0JXYmxk

Subbed on: Rafa Mir (74 mins), Phil Ofosu-Ayeh (on 65 mins)

Unused subs: Ashley-Seal, Ruddy, Hayden.

Not in squad: EEL (suspended), Johnson, Zyro, Csoka

What's happening with the chap we signed in Jan and then loaned out?

What's happening with the chap we signed in Jan and then loaned out?

Struggling to think of anyone who fits that description tbh.

David Jiahao Wang?

I've looked up Wang a couple of times but can't find any mention of him - he went to Sporting Lisbon B on loan but he might be injured.

Right after they have equalised too

Iorfa goal for Wednesday and sounded like he played well during the time I was listening whilst driving sbout

Not on loan though. Wednesday gave us money for Dom.

Delighted he is doing well there

From the weekend:

Kortney Hause - Aston Villa, The Champioship.

Another 90 minutes, this time at centre-half alongside Mings, and another clean sheet. It wasn’t a perfect performance though, he was lucky not to give away a penalty for a shove on a Blues player in the area, but he’ll be pleased that he’s back in his best position. For now at least.

Leo Bonatini – Nottingham Forest, The Championship

A first start for Leo at home to Hull and he was involved in several attacking moves in the first half, having a curling effort from the edge of the box saved being the highlight. Taken off after an hour and Forest went on to net three goals with his replacement bagging the second.

Bright Enobakhare - Coventry City, League One

From the high of a superb goal last week to the disappointment of a red card against Burton: two silly bookings leading to an early bath. Had a good shot tipped round the post in the first half but the game ended in a 2-1 defeat.

Jordan Graham - Oxford United, League One.

A full game in a frustrating 1-0 defeat at Gillingham. Involved in a lot of attacking play and drew a great save from the keeper but to no avail.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell – Rochdale, League One.

Back from suspension to play 90 minutes of a 2-1win over Shrewsbury. Slid in to intercept the ball for the goal but missed it allowing the attacker a free shot.

Ben Goodliffe – Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.

A full game in a 3-0 win. Had a chance to score from 8 yards but hit it straight at the keeper.

Harry Burgoyne – Falkirk, Scottish Championship.

Played in a 2-0 win over Ayr United and made a string of fine saves to keep a clean sheet.

Roderick Miranda - Olympiacos, Greek Super League.

Played the full game of a 4-1 win.

Christian Herc and Connor Ronan - FC DAC 1904, Slovakian Superliga.

Both played 90 minutes of a 2-1 away win. Ronan had a good free-kick saved.

Subbed on: Benny Ashley-Seal (64 mins – made his debut in a 2-1 defeat)

FC Jumilla. Leak, Deslandes, Hanne all played the full game in a 0-0 draw.

Unused subs: Ruddy

Not in squad Wilson (injured), Johnson, Hayden, Mir, Afosu-Ayeh, Zyro, Csoka, Yang.
