First half over - dissapointed with Sevilla so far - lot of the ball, but done nothing going forward. Haven't really tested Liverpool yet

Thought Liverpool grew into the half and Savilla's back 6 just can't cope or free Benega enough to play his neat passes. Gamiero looks good though, could see him doing a good job in England at a top 4 club.

You wouldn't assume the keeper would flap at it and let a relatively tame header in though. Not like it was absolutely flying towards the corner.

The keeper has looked very shaky throughout.

Only that's not completely true. To beat a heavy press team you have to stretch the pitch and play through the thirds whilst using pace to take central defenders and full backs deep. Clever ball players will always beat a press as the ball always moves quicker than players.

Sevilla don't have the quality on the ball at the back to stop this from what I've seen at the moment. They also need to exploit Liverpool's full backs coming high up the pitch which again they haven't stretched the play by knocking balls on the angle across the CB's.

Sturridge is always going to go for that and every striker in the world would have, it's instinct and he was actually only marginally offside because of the Sevilla player on the left hand side being yards deeper than everyone else.
