At times Manchester City's defending does leave a lot to be desired. Twice in a couple of minutes Watford almost got through.

Mangala would be overpriced at a quarter of what City paid for him.

The MK Dons own goal today is really something special.

Watford look really well drilled.

Holding their shape well when City have the ball, plenty of communication as people being passed onto different markers as the big guns try to rotate positions and find some space, they just look really switched on. Deeney happy to drop in a help out in midfield when needed but then they pick their moments to come out and press a bit more when it's called for, they haven't had much of the ball compared to City but it's far from backs to the wall the way they're defending.

They strung together some tidy passages of play when they've got on the ball too.

Quique has done an unbelievable job. They got turned over by all the better teams last season but they're a proper unit now. Really impressed.

Why didn't Kolarov bother jumping there?

Citeh don't need to worry as their version of RVLP comes on...

Did Yaya just get caught up and subsequently disposessed by Ben Watson? Time to jack it in when that's happening.

Currently watching Alloa Athletic vs Falkirk on BBC Alba. Plastic Pitch, torrential rain, Gaelic commentary... Still better than the Brighton game.

Chopra not even on the bench for Alloa. :icon_lol:

They made some keen signings, Nyom is excellent and Holebas is at least better at defending than Anya. Capoue has also helped solidify them.

Holebas will be off this month due to his rank attitude, Ake normally plays there and has been excellent.

Think you're stretching it a bit there Alan, he looked like Zubar mk. II at times today, all limbs and no brains. Plenty of energy to get up and down though with Abdi generally coming more narrow in front of him and at least had a better idea of where to stand in relation to the rest of his defence than dear ol' Ron.
