Keir Starmer at it again..

The evidence says that action hadn't been taken and children's safety wasn't put first and it was often hidden under the carpet.
I’m just glad, like you I’m sure, that he flagged up that that diver guy who saved those kids in the flooded cave was a ‘pedo’. I mean, it’s just great he’s taking about this stuff. It definitely doesn’t in any way suggest that Musk himself is some kind of depraved lunatic. No, not at all.

Dozens of people being jailed is not consistent with your claim that 'action hadnt been taken'.

From the article..

The failure to address the abuse was attributed to a combination of factors revolving around race, class, religion and gender—fear that the perpetrators' ethnicity would trigger allegations of racism; contemptuous and sexist attitudes toward the mostly working-class victims; lack of a child-centred focus; a desire to protect the town's reputation; and lack of training and resources.[26][27][10]

Rotherham Council's chief executive, its director of children's services, as well as the Police and Crime Commissioner for South Yorkshire Police all resigned.[28] The Independent Police Complaints Commission and the National Crime Agency both opened inquiries, the latter expected to last eight years.[29][30] The government appointed Louise Casey to conduct an inspection of Rotherham Council.[31] Published in January 2015, the Casey report concluded that the council had a bullying, sexist culture of covering up information and silencing whistleblowers; it was "not fit for purposeThe failure to address the abuse was attributed to a combination of factors revolving around race, class, religion and gender—fear that the perpetrators' ethnicity would trigger allegations of racism; contemptuous and sexist attitudes toward the mostly working-class victims; lack of a child-centred focus; a desire to protect the town's reputation; and lack of training and resources.[26][27][10]

Musk is very pro-active when it comes to people who sexually exploit kids.

You can be critical of Musk's motivation, which I would agree with, but at least admit that the people responsible for safeguarding the children, often were blaming the children for being raped and tortured, instead of the perpetrators of those heinous crimes against children.

Yes, mistakes were made. And measures were taken to ensure those mistakes were not repeated.

So what relevance does this have to Musks rants in 2025?

That fat thick racist getting away with openly calling an innocent person a pedo with his global platform utterly disgusts me, and should disgust everyone. I hope he stands on an upturned plug.

What mistakes were made and by who?

So can we agree that Musk is a right wing cunt, who puts his nose, where it is not wanted and at the same time many of the people responsible for protecting the children didn't do their jobs properly and many of the original recommendations about protecting
children from grooming gangs have not been put in to place?

Which recommendations have not been put in place?

From the article below.

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sex Abuse (IICSA), which published its final report in 2022, knitted several of these inquiries together alongside its own investigations.

Professor Alexis Jay, who led the inquiry, said in November she felt "frustrated" that none of its 20 recommendations to tackle abuse had been implemented more than two years later.

She said: "It's a difficult subject matter, but it is essential that there's some public understanding of it.

"But we can only do what we can to press the government to look at the delivery of all of this.

"It doesn't need more consultation, it does not need more research or discussion, it just needs to be done."

Important that the government explains why then.

Important that the government explains why then.

This goes back much further than the Labour Government and this is where Musk is wrong. He didn’t call this out when his friends were in government in the UK.
There have been many failings dealing with this subject and they're still going on. My original point was the minister who turned down the national review is not the victim, the children are, but Musk should fuck off and keep his nose out of UK politics. I think both those statements can be correct at the same time.

I did see one useful suggestion. The government should mandate that all official twitter accounts, either individual or departmental, should be mirrored on BlueSky.

A small gesture, but it would remind Musk that he's not the only game in town.

The whole social media landscape needs regulating by the government. Every single account should have to be linked to a verified identity. Anyone U18 wanting to join will have to be verified and linked to their parents identity.

Come out really strongly against the racist fucking weirdo nepo baby cunt. Fair play.
He defended himself and his minister. I think that is the very least he could do. You can blame the far right and Stephen Yaxley, but for me he never rebuked a fundamental question, which is did Gordon Browns's government advise the police and social services, to go easy on grooming gangs and blame the young underage children for being promiscuous, so not to cause racial tension?
That is a ticking time bomb and if it happened as a previous crown prosecutor said it did, Kier Starmer needs to have a proper national investigation in to what happened, because it won't go away and if you put children's safety, above electoral power, then I think it is imperative that they do have a full investigation.
I don't doubt Musk's reasons for doing this and it will be about him and he is manipulating the situation for personal gain. I also don't think this should be about one political party, as the Conservatives did fuck all either and are jumping on the bandwagon. I do believe it is the right thing to do, to have a national investigation and Keir Starmer who is a decent man, would look a lot better by saying there will be a national investigation and people who were involved with putting young children's lives at risk and doing nothing about the pain and torture these young girls suffered, need to be brought to justice. Anything less is a disgrace and a national embarrassment.

We dont need another national investigation. We just need the recommendations of the previous ones to be put in place.
