Never a 3-0. Very harsh. Couple of heads gone defensive moments and that's it.
You could argue that but the reality is that if you defend as we have done all season, you will get punished by good opponents. Us, on the other hand, have not made the most of our chances over the last three games. Our finishing has been as piss poor as our defending.

This proves we are way off the standard of the top half and in form teams which shouldn't come as too big a surprise. What we desperately need to do short term (other than keep adding signings) is to cut out these hammering. As said it's a -6 swing in the last two and difficult games to come.

I think we need another defender or Dawson to rise like lazarus
You can put as many new defenders into this team as you like but when you see how the Newcastle midfield links with their defence, you see a world of difference between them and us. We are still far too open.

They’ve been pretty good. And they are in fantastic form too. Just a bit alarming how we’ve defended in this game.
They're a much better side, in much better form. Cunha for Murphy is all they'd bother with if they had a licence to swap.

Not to say that there isn't anything to worry about obviously. Both boxes we've absolutely terrible, we look unfit, we can't create, and I think you'd quite happily replace the entire defense & Sa and have to work pretty hard to make it worse.

It’s just not been very hard for them to win which is the alarming factor

Sarabia had time to take a touch there but should have scored, or at least made the keeper work.

Other than that, all looking pretty rosy!

So much indecision and sloppiness.

Just then RAN got a kind deflection that gave the opportunity to drive into the box but he checks back and then plays a poor cut back so there's not even a shot out of it.

Agbadou has a touch of the 'Stears' for me, loves to throw himself into tackles even if it leaves a massive gap.

Other than Cunha I'd take RAN over Hall but that's about it.
