I don't know what targets they have.

We have a solid defence and a midfield that many of our rivals would love. We have not been overrun in any game this season.

Our problem is we don't score goals. Raul's preseason injury could not have been anticipated, and it was not unreasonable to expect his standard of play to be better than he has actually managed. I don't think the decision to loan out Fabio was entirely made by Lage, and he cannot be blamed either for the delay in getting Sasa or the injury he suffered. Costa will take time to gain match fitness and is a complete gamble.

We are not showing relegation form. We are showing improvements over the past two seasons, albeit this has not translated into as many points as we would all like.

Jeff is not someone to panic.

I just don't see any reason why he would fire Lage UNLESS the club have a long term successor in mind who is/becomes available.

This does not mean I am any happier than the rest of you with our current situation.
We are in relegation form and we are worse than last season despite having the best team I've ever witnessed at Molineux.

14th in the table. Not completely outclassed in any game (yet). Goal difference -1 after 6 games (same as Chelsea)

We have different definitions of relegation form.

Yep, we are definitely in relegation form by any metric.

We have 3 goals and 6 points from 6 games. Lucky to have 6 points too as Fulham missed a penalty and Southampton messed up an open goal from 1 yard.

We have 4 wins from 20 games.

We are shit.

NO

Lose a couple of games 4-0, then maybe. Not yet.

We all want better. We all believe a better coach will put us much higher up the table - where we belong.

Six games is not enough to predict relegation, but we ain't going down.

I don't think we'll go down either because we have good players and at some point we'll appoint an at least reasonable manager.

I do reserve the right to be annoyed that we're wasting time under someone who is shit. It costs me a lot of money to watch something I know will be rubbish when I know it needn't be.

We have scored 3 goals. That isn't sustainable and is relegation form.

It may be different if you don't watch the games. I do and it's frustrating to watch.

We definitely look better defensively than a lot of last season. Like we aren’t reliant on Sa bailing us out. Kilman and Collins is a good pairing, and will get better too. Back four has helped us progress the ball into midfield better I think too.

Yeah I dunno what to say about attacking. That’s just grim really

Have to look at who we have played. 11 points would be par for 10th to 12th at the end of the season. We are 5 behind that and would in all likelihood be in the relegation zone after 10 games if it weren't for last week being off

14th despite having probably the best run of fixtures in the whole division. 3 of the sides we've played will likely be in the bottom 5/6 come the end of the season and we got 2 points from those games.

We've played just 41 minutes with the new players until Sasa got injured. No-one has had time to gel as a team. Many comments that this is the best first 11 that we have ever had. Still the anti Lage agenda prevails. So far this season we have not had an effective striker. Can't believe that people still bang on about the first 3 or 4 or 5 games, or the last season run in. The team is much different from then, different players, different formation. The timing for the new players is on the board, not on Lage. If he can't start getting decent results I'll be just as keen to see him replaced but give the guy a chance. Give him some credit for the input into the new players.

He's had 44 league games, how many more is "a chance"?

If we don't win any of the next four, is that enough?

I wouldn't mind so much if we looked even halfway decent, we don't. We look shite.

Who is Brighton's 'effective striker'? Not a valid excuse for me, set the team up so that it maximises individual abilities.

I'm also not going to give him credit for things he has no say in.

Do we have to get relegated in the quest of giving a no-mark coach a chance?

Would actually be interested to hear from the diminishing pile of pro-Lage posters:

Do you want him to stay because

a) You genuinely think he'll turn around one of the worst runs we've had in 35 years (a lot of that is his fault), and if so, based on what exactly given he has pretty much no track record of ever doing so and we've been shite for months

or

b) We need to be seen to be "fair", which seems a colossal waste of time to me, why throw games away

I'm not sure there really is a c).

We've got Forest (H), Palace (A) and Leicester (H) coming up soon. I reckon he's gone sometime during that run, probably after Leicester at home.

I suppose c) might be that there doesn't appear to be anyone obviously massively better on the market at the moment, and it may be worth waiting, rather than getting rid and appointing someone a bit better, rather than someone MUCH better.

Also it does seem that Nunes signed at least in part because of Lage.
