Good people of Britain...........PANIC

A first for me this morning! Waiting on Guernsey airport tarmac for the aircraft to be de-iced!!

Oooo, I don’t like that. Have had that at Luton before now, it feels a bit disconcerting.

Looked a bit like a guy on a cherry picker with a sort of fireman’s hose blasting the wings with yellowy-green stuff. I recall being in a window seat and it just about freaked me out when it splattered all over the window.

Flying doesn’t normally bother me but that really got to me for some reason.

Had that on returning from my Stag Do in Hungary, somehow that was 15 years ago. It had been a steady -15 for the weekend

Sat on the plane as they de-iced it.

Its standard in a lot of countries over winter. Always a shock when they first do it.

I suspect I'm in the minority (again) but I'm not particularly looking forward to the coming change in weather, yes its gunna be much warmer but also windy and wet.
Me and the old dog have had some fabulous walks this week, sunny, mud was frozen and fewer people.

I'm in the minority with you, much prefer the cold and crisp but sunny weather to grey, dreary, wet shit

I spent most of my time sat in my house so it's a case of being cold vs being a bit less cold.

But given the choice of dry + cold over a bit less cold and wet I'm choosing dry and cold

Has been bliss getting back to the house with a clean, dry dog.

It’s a pain in the arse the last couple of months getting back to the door every time with a dog that look like she’s spent a week on the Somme.

To be fair though she doesn’t care much for the hose down in the garden either.

Yeah, I first came across this flying out of Manchester to HK in 2015. It's never bothered me tbh.

The worst extreme of any season is never going to be much fun, but the worst of winter is preferable to the worst of summer.

Plenty of measures I can take today to keep warm, in or out of the house. Less I can do about the situation if it's 35 degrees and ultra humid.

Which is what I have today. Aircon on and deal with it.

Monday might suck as it is supposed to be over 40
