I'd like to see him encouraged to have a foray forward more often. He definitely has it in his locker, but errs on the conservative side a lot. Getting better though

I think the conservatism is mostly to protect the defence. Semedo tends to be the marauding one but I'd be tempted to keep Semedo back and push RAN on.

Nonsense. In many circumstances if the keeper is going to completely cover the near post he leaves the far side too open. It’s about balancing the risk and in some cases in doing so a keeper will be beaten at the near post. If the Fulham keeper had moved a yard across and Traore had hit it across him he’d have been criticised for poor positioning. Sometimes the forward deserves credit and as you say it was hit HARD.

A keeper should never be beaten at their near post, but that ball was hit HARD.

Right now the latter; he'd be great for us, good physical specimen and puts himself about.

I'd have to agree, I'd be wondering about having him and RAN as there has to be question marks about Jonny now unfortunately

I'm sure if he stays it's something that will be worked on relentlessly in pre-season. If he marauds he needs cover as he will lose the ball on occasion, as will Semedo

I think he did when he first came here. I think, as someone else suggested, he is protecting the defence.

It seems the general consensus is they're not fans of Parker.

Nuno quote from last night. The last sentence is a little disturbing that he's telling them to play like that against Fulham.

My thoughts too, the onus was on Fulham to win that game so counter-attack is a perfectly fine approach. Fulham just didn't really attack in enough numbers.

Given how frail we looked against West ham against counter attacks and the impact of losing this game Vs drawing it's hard to really criticise the approach too much, even if it was boring. The result justifies the means.

.......and relax. Got a dressing down last night from my boys for being too negative about the game, they were probably right, it was just a boring game, rather than we were outplayed. A few good moments, the 2 goals, MGW and Fabio, Semedo. Think RAN has been much better defensively recently ( has he bulked up a bit) still looks clumsy on the ball going forward, maybe a bit of over excitement/inexperience? still think Vinagre is better than him but maybe people are right and he has a higher ceiling. Was a bit over critical of Neves last night, his passing was nowhere near his usual standard but his defensive work was good as usual. Never thought I'd say it but was delighted with our shithousing, Coady, Saiss, Donk, Neves and Moutinho all taking it in turns to take a player out on the half way line.
Think the reason I was so down last night is it occurred to me that the first 3 seasons under Nuno were so good and this season has been the most I've ever watched Wolves due to tv coverage......I would just like to watch us once this season where we dominate the game and win 2 or 3-0......over entitled aye I?

As an aside we have helped to ignite faint flickering flames of hope for survival for the Baggies. It would be a lot of fun to snuff out those flames decisively at their shit heap.

The problem we have is that with young players like RAN, Fabio and Neto the mistakes will happen - overhit crosses, passes - and they will also have patches where they blow hot and cold or their inexperience will lead them to making the wrong decision.

But you'll also have instances like last night where MGW, Fabio and RAN were excellent and show their quality and why we want to sign them.

I appreciate the "want it now" attitude but anyone who doubts Fosun's commitment has to look at the young players on our books. At least three of them are considered amongst the best in Europe.

Bit too close for him and better angle for a left footer or has he lost a bit of conviction about his shooting? I'm sure he let someone else take one against West Ham too?

Neves has forgotten how to take decent free kicks.

He is a modern day Roberto Carlos.

Absolutely makes me cringe when we get a free kick anywhere remotely in range and the commentators start with the “here comes Neves” stuff.......

They obviously watched a 2018 video just before kick off.

Happened a few times now, not just this season, another was after Edersen got sent off last season it was given to Joao. Similar position too.

I dont believe for a second he doesn't have the ability to shoot and score because he had one right on the edge of the box versus Norwich at home where the goalkeeper tipped it onto the bar.

Its incredibly odd all round.

You can't blame them for shooting of course, just ironic given all the wasted short/"clever" FKs we've had.
