Everton 4-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Repeating what I said at HT in the match thread:

Shambolic. Not seen the defence look so disorganised in a long time. Dawson turned inside out, Bueno is weak, Doherty as bad as ever and Lemina gives the ball away constantly. Whether it's letting Everton press the backline or lamping the ball up aimlessly and losing it, we played into Dyche's hands.

Guedes is a joke off the ball. Lazy, impetuous, always waving at teammates despite not being an option. Cunha is trying but can't do it all. Midfield was bullied same as Bournemouth.

Considering the first goal came from a FK where they already had the chance and were offside it seemed unfair but at this point that is kind of trivial. I've no idea about the disallowed goals, my view was not good!

Fans in the ground completely turned now. A lot of stick for O'Neil and chants about Nuno and old players. Apart from Cunha, most of the team looked like they did not want to be there tonight. It's not just O'Neil who is beaten, that loser's attitude about winnable games has infected the team. And we've not won many of the so-called winnable games. I'm close to thinking the situation can't be salvaged regardless of coach, although we did come back in 22/23 after wasting half the season on Lage and a caretaker so you never know.

Atmosphere was really good and I enjoyed it so feel weirdly positive despite the joke of a display on the pitch. There is nothing good to take away except O'Neil surely being gone. I think his position is untenable and look forward to his dismissal. He has no qualifications and no business managing us.

All I’ll say is take in the lat few months of PL football as it’ll be a long time before we’re back.
Hobbs should be resigning with his title as Sporting Director as sporting outfit we’re a disgrace

To be honest if a few thousand angry people were judging my work and calling me a wanker i wouldn't approach them either.

Separate matter: Must remember to cancel a meeting with my boss next week
Yeah. Plenty to dislike about his time at Wolves but let's be honest, most of us would do the same at this point faced with that. I mean he's about to be sacked. What do we want him to do, a little dance or something?

Just looked at the predictions and I’m quite surprised how many thought we might get something from the game. That performance comes as no surprise as we’ve been bullied from set pieces all season and conceded chances for fun. O’Neill should have gone after Brentford, that showed he’s not capable of setting a team up at his level. It was inevitable we couldn’t continue to get something out of games by relying on Cunha and so it has proved. I’d like to see Potter come in as I’d be happy for him to stay if as expected we go down, however I’d be amazed if he’d come, so probably be Moyes unless Shi goes cap in hand to Mendes with the promise of cash to spend in January. Whoever comes in they’ll want one, probably two, centre halves.

It's elite professional football. Should players shrink and leave the field during a match when when they get booed or criticised too?

Have you watched the video? It's not like he's in physical danger. Just clap your fucking hands and go inside, don't just blank the fans and then tell the players to stop clapping them too.

He's properly out there with the fist pumps when there's glory to be had though

Gas to go now. Imagine Fosun will manage to Find some funds for January too

Just walk over and hold your hands up. Take it on the chin.

Your getting a massive payout tomorrow and can just fuck off to Dubai whereas we’re stuck with this mess.

That’s why I never bothered watching it, it was so obvious what the outcome would be, results like the one at Fulham are just a freak.
