Coronavirus

Fucking hell. Might end up taking out subscriptions to every streaming service going at this rate.

Filming of Eastenders is suspended. I don't watch it so no big issues there except that if this a sign of things to come (Line of Duty was also stopped yesterday) then what new things will we be looking at in a few months time?

Was it announced by someone saying "Covid-19 get arrrrttttt my pub" duff duff duff duffduffduffduffduffduff we will be suspending filming?

Asda now restricting sales of any food, toiletries or cleaning products to three per customer.

This should have been done across the board a couple of weeks ago as people are wankers.

I popped into the Asda near site this morning to get myself something for lunch and there was a row of trolleys near the side of the self serve checkouts full of nappies, toilet rolls, pasta and whatever else, presumably stuff that had been confiscated from shoppers that were taking the piss.

Just seen some figures that there are now 5m self-employed people in the UK (and a further 1m on zero hours contracts).

They can't just ignore us? Right?

Good. Though as I've said I'd go a step further and make them put it all back themselves, the staff have enough to do.

I wish it weren't necessary for businesses and the Government to constantly yell "DON'T BE A FUCKING MORON" but apparently it is.

Good news, couldn't get baby wipes yesterday as selfish fuckers had bought them all up as an alternative to toilet paper.

Clearly this virus was created by Disney to make sure everyone signs up to the new Disney+ service...

Was listening to 5live this morning, there was a woman phone up and say that a group of friends was asking her if she wanted to go out for a meal last night, she said no, but didn't say why (because of the advice given).
She laughed and said, the others still went out and one of them works for the NHS???
Imbecile.

At lot of the projections of people affected has to include a factor (around 25 to 50%) of people who will ignore the rules. If people were not so stupid and selfish death rates would be a corresponding factor better.

It's just silly, anyone would think people were going to be locked inside their houses for months on end the amount of stuff that's being bought. I've been in 4 different supermarkets since Monday and none of them have had any fresh chicken or pork on the shelves, I imagine the only reason steak is getting left behind is because of the price. Thankfully we've always had a week or so of bits in the freezer just in case we ever had a week where we will ill or something and couldn't get a shop in so we've not been put out so far but if this carries on through to next week at the same rate we'll be turning vegetarian, or at least steakatarian if I were to invent such a diet.

It's isolation, not imprisonment, if you need to go out and buy some food then do so, don't just fill your house with food and barricade yourselves in for as long as you can.

These are flushable

Yeah, no. There is hardly any truly flushable wipe certified by WRc - kudos if you have them as they are pretty much like rocking horse poo. If they are not on this list don't put them down the toilet (or do, if you really must - I make quite a lot of money out of it, but I'd rather not).

Or even better, leave baby wipes for the babies?

These are flushable

They only have to get out of your household plumbing to be classified as flushable. They still clog up the sewers and contribute to the fatbergs that cause overflowing drains and flooding.

Now told I have to be in school even though I'm completely able to manage distance learning from home and no children will be there. Another needless grey area which could be resolved with leadership. Most schools are limping to closure anyway now

You kind of hope they are drip feeding the help so not to confuse people

Mon - Business
Tues - Mortgages
Wed - Rent and/or Self Employed?

Labour are pushing the Self Employed/Zero Contracts line a lot but if it will help is another matter
