Coronavirus

It’s already been established that people from Hednesford are nails though.

My arm is sore that is all ? Weird how it affects people differently
yeah I had no symptons whatsoever...my missus had a bad headeache during the night......starting to wonder if I was used as a placebo

Interesting front page of the Telegraph this morning regarding mistakes made in the handling of the Covid crisis. ‘Allies’ of the PM admit that mistakes were made in delaying the first lockdown, PPE and test and trace. States that nine days before the first lockdown was announced the PM was shown data stating that we were 3 weeks away from the NHS being overwhelmed. Despite the PM being stunned by the news a decision was still delayed.

Well knock me down with a feather, in the middle of a successful vaccination program the PM admits the first lockdown was far too late. Those that voted for him will convince themselves he couldn’t get it right whatever he did and will continue to offer unwavering support. I expect to hear “Corbyn wouldn’t have done any better” quite a lot in the next few weeks!

I can only presume the EU members are still fucked off with AZ for not being able to fulfil numbers expected. Each nation seems determined to attack the vaccine.

the blood clot stuff is utter bollocks really and if they do want to get over cautious, then people who have had the Pfizer vaccine have suffered more but not halting the use of that one (something like 15 v 13 from multi million doeses and still less than blood clots and related issues that happen outside of vaccination programmes anyway).

Find it very odd that the one not for profit vaccine and the one that keeps supplying ridiculous numbers against protection and spread is being taken apart each week.

Hmm..

Being sold at cost price isn't it?

Or was that just an initial pricing and now its in the profit area for AZ?
Yes absolutely - agreement is that it will be not for profit until the pandmic eases. It was more a point that there will be an awful lot of 'for profit' companies and agencies potentially discouraging its use.

Right, apologies took your response as meaning the non for profit thing was wrong.

Seems to be nations rather than companies attacking it (unless the Pfizer/BionTech people are being puppet masters of course). The EU have had a mare, sitting on a load of vaccines and can't use them as they have spent their time having a pop at AZ, all because they didn't supply the right numbers to them. Proper toys out of the pram shit and actions that will kill people

On the news here Friday night (before the lastest stuff with the clots) was reported that AZ were going to fall short of their promised deliveries this month to Ireland by 45,000, next breath they were saying that Pfizer were going to deliver an extra 46,000 more doses then planned. No explanation given for either so not sure what to make of that.

They seem to have had a downer on the AZ one since day one, expecting it to jump through more hoops with regards data etc, now pulling it till they do more checks.

Germany has now suspended use of the AZ vaccine.

I'm not sure how far behind us Europe is, but if there are pictures of a lockdown free UK in the summer whilst the rest of Europe are still lockdown there'll be some questions asked by people in those affected countries

they're already asking, on the news earlier, they were talking to people in Italy and mostly they are blaming their politicians, they want to know why they are so far behind Israel, UK and USA

Already happening, especially in Germany.

For the amount of vaccines the EU has and also have on order, their rate is appalling.

Tbf they have been a bit let down by suppliers not fulfilling contracts on time, but the doses they have had have not been distributed anywhere near quick enough and of course they keep putting the block on the AZ vaccine for no scientific reason whatsoever.....dunno what they're playing at.
