How has Ramsey spent lockdown?

By all accounts he fucked off to one of his several luxury homes in Cornwall much to the chagrin of the locals and also went to Scandinavia to film his Christmas special where he constantly waves his dick around in a desperate attempt to prove he is bigger, better, faster, more intelligent, harder, stronger and generally more macho that Gino D'Acampo and Fred off First Dates

And now he is trying his hand at quiz shows in his lifelong quest to make as much money as humanly possible

Whats wrong with him wanting to make money?

What he does is fine as long as he doesn't break laws. He was allowed to go to his home in Cornwall and he was allowed to go on a trip to wave his dick around in the snow as he was working (presume you enjoyed the show?). If TV shows weren't allowed to be filmed all we would have is bastard Mrs Browns Boys on repeat all day every day

If his chat with Darlo's BFF is about him and makig money, utterly pointless. If its about how to treat the hospitality sector and how they have been royally screwed and blamed then all good if he listens and puts into action something that stops hundreds and thousands more places having to permanently close their doors

I have my doubts that Dishi Rishi will broadcast an interview which says "you fucked this right up, you tiny little man" so it'll be soft soap stuff of no value.

Of course but you hope some "off the record" shit gets through.

Next up he will interview one of the 3 million people who have been missed by Furlough etc and I will win the Euro Millions tonight

One of my favourite bits of trivia is that Gino's spell at her majesty's pleasure was because he stole Paul Young's guitar.

Latest leak is you might be able to meet more than one household outdoors by Easter. Wow! Praise be.

I get caution but the most at risk are now sorted out. We can't carry on like this, not for seemingly no reason. We don't get to erase deaths that you've already caused by fucking up, don't mess what has been a very effective vaccine roll-out by stalling everything needlessly. The whole point is that we get to go back to something approaching normal.

I think the problem here is Boris Johnson wanting to please everyone and then getting stuck in the middle.
Data coming out is very positive right now, aware lockdown fatigue is kicking in, his own MP's wanting an end to it, Rishi wanting to stop spending and helping people etc but then the majority of scientists advising all seem determined to keep us in lockdown forever and ever or until Covid has been wiped out (which isn't happening). So we will get the over the top cautious approach which will please no one.

I guess the OTT cautious approach is better than "we trust you not to do the things we don't want you to do but you can if you want" approach.

Agreed but it shouldn't be that binary.

Lockdown exists to a) protect the NHS from falling over and b) buy time so we can adapt our response after things are getting out of hand.

A) won't happen if the most at risk are vaccinated (they are) and B) Incredibly, we've actually got this bit of the response pretty much spot on (not that it's much to do with the Government), cases are declining massively, we don't need time right now.

There's no risk right now in meeting people outdoors. If you're clinically vulnerable then you shouldn't be doing it anyway. So for them to half-brief that we can do that a little bit in a couple of months is just shit. Doesn't make any sense.

Oh and I'm annoyed that they're also whispering that it's no haircuts until May, I don't want to keep looking like I stepped into a time machine in 2001 and emerged today.

You might have covered off the most vulnerable but if you slacken off and it gets out of hand there's still a massive pool of people at the moment that can get infected.

That provides massive scope for the virus to mutate and you could end up back at square with something even worse.

Home head shave coming up then!
Not happening. It might never grow back at my age.

Mrs DW has offered to tidy it up a bit but I have declined this amazingly kind offer. I'll trust her with my life but not my barnet.

I get you, but no-one is saying "lockdown today, come Monday open up absolutely everything, let's party like it's 2019".

Just briefing that you can do stuff that is actually safe right now in a couple of months, maybe, is wrong.

I mean The Sun could just be making it up but we know how this lot like to set out policy and they're a pet newspaper these days.

We've been here before though, you give an inch and too many take a mile so things start to slip and before you know it the virus is running riot again.

Would be nice to finally learn the lesson and err on the side of caution in the hope it's the last time such decision will need to be made.

We surely can't define policy on "someone might be a bellend" though. And we're more than erring on the side of caution already.

I don't think there's any 'might' in that situation, it will definitely happen, and there's no chance it's as singular as 'somebody' either, it would be widespread enough to cause problems.

It's happened every time there's been any relaxing of rules in the last 12 months, why would it be any different now?

Because we have vaccines now?

It literally is a game changer. Asymptomatic cases cease to really matter once those it actually impacts are protected anyway.
