Yep, which absolutely no one predictedhard as the past few months have been, and continue to be, lockdown is effective.
just a shame that the attempts to "save christmas" probably created a much increased volume of mixing resulting in the january spike on nhs admissions.
Seems the Pfizer Vaccine has some really good numbers on stopping transmission. Again all coming from Israel, where data is being released daily.
Also it seems whoever advised our Government on delaying the 2nd dose, even though Pfizer said 3 weeks between doses, has got it spot on.
Think all data is coming from there right now for Pfizer. Part of the approval for Pfizer meant they had to release data daily. Is that from Israel too?
I'm sure you'll appreciate sir that my post wasn't a celebration of lockdown measures. we are where we are due to the incompetence of the government in initiating unsafe measures too quickly. That graph of hospital admissions doesn't really go down after the summer. It plateaus, then rises dramatically.Lockdown is effective in as much as no-one is doing anything, you wouldn't expect the impact to be any different. The consequences of lockdown are awful. The fact that we've had to have three (and effectively four in many parts of the country) is fucking dreadful as all they do is buy you time. If you waste that time then it's absolutely criminal.
We're in this situation because of the absolute Horlicks they made of it more than once last year. I'm not going to applaud it because it's a bloody awful situation, I hate this and it's ruining my life.
The 'save Christmas' issue didn't need to as no one was forced to mix - gave up my choice of seeing family as could see what would happen weeks before they started flip/flopping on the rules.hard as the past few months have been, and continue to be, lockdown is effective.

So, are Israel trialling/using a longer delay now?Think all data is coming from there right now for Pfizer. Part of the approval for Pfizer meant they had to release data daily.
No no, nothing to do with you mate.I'm sure you'll appreciate sir that my post wasn't a celebration of lockdown measures. we are where we are due to the incompetence of the government in initiating unsafe measures too quickly. I've started realising more over the past 3-4 weeks how drastically my own wellbeing has been affected, and probably for some months now, without me realising. Not at all comparable to your challenges, but I do empathise with how significant this all is for you, and others in a similar position.
Don't think they but they are flying through their population (not a massive population really, roughly 9m) so no need to do what we are doingSo, are Israel trialling/using a longer delay now?
Kind of presume/hope his talk is how has he managed the staff at his many restuarants across the country and the impact the lockdown has had on the industry rather than a "well if you are down to your last few million, its always a good idea to move your TV career into a new genre" (I look forward to the posters on that)
Would you ever fuck the fuck off with rubbish like this.
"Here I spoke to a multi-millionaire to see how he dealt with endless lockdown". I somehow think he's alright, Rishi.
