Its a common question around t'web for those who want to prove COVID is a hoax. Somewhere out there are some figures that show the flu numbers this year are stupidly low, therefore they are transfering the flu deaths to Covid to fool people that the Covid is serious and not somnething created to control us/make Bill Gates even richer/track our movements via the chips the vaccination will include that require 5G to work.

Is it not so much that the people who normally die from flu just die from this instead, as it's a) more prevalent, b) we haven't had a vaccine while it's been in the population for nearly a year and c) more dangerous?
Like cancer deaths now will be thousands of times higher than they were in 1720. But mainly because we don't die from dysentery or scurvy at the age of 31 now.

On Cancer. Sadly those numbers will fly up in next year or so.
The fall out from Covid when the vaccination is in full swing will be pretty horific as well. Going to see so many stories where people have died due to not wanting or able to visit a GP and missing that early chance that could save their lives

I thought it was widely acknowledged that flu deaths are way down this year because of all the social distancing measures/masks/pubs and sports venues and gigs shut down etc

If there is one good long-term impact from all this shite, it'll be the message that if you're ill, don't go out/go to work unless you absolutely have to. And if you really must, then wear a mask and totally limit personal contact until you're definitely better.
Doubt that'll happen though, once Fat Al decides we don't need to bother any more (and make no mistake, he'll be itching to give that news ASAP) then the majority will not pay any heed to these lessons and simply go back to how they were.

I wasn't suggesting you believe the 5G just stating the mad people out there do.
Where are those low figures from? I never click on sources from the fruitcases so never looked at them myself
But it hasn't worked with Covid. Why ? Masks and lockdowns seem to have been miraculous with influenza but hopeless with covid.
You've got jobs, homes and people's mental health affected very badly for a virus that 99.9% survive through their own immunity. What is going on ?

Covid is more infectious than influenza?
In 2015 25,000 people died in the UK from Influenza when the vaccine was 30% effective.
