Where they going to go on a Sunday for the roast dinner, gassy pissy lager and a moan about none of the locals speaking English now?

Shit. Not good news for him at all. None of us want to see a fellow poster's business suffer. Hope its okay Glasgo.

No, hope he can tick over until better times come along.
My business relies on events and big crowds.
30k stock sitting in my store, deposits paid for several events.
By the looks of it can't see Fairyhouse, Punchestown, Dublin Horse Show etc. etc going ahead..
Looks like a good time to catch up on the gardening, decorating and odd jobs I've been neglecting.
If nothing else, please can we have some good weather?
Wife will be busy anyway working for the Health Service Executive...

Same thoughts for you Arklo. It's going to be challenging but I hope you get through it okay.

Heard from a few people schools are preparing to close next Friday.

We had fun today. Our place is warehouse with office attached. One warehouse worker is in self isolation, and another should be in my opinion. This morning two people in the office had the sniffles. So the entire office was closed, everyone sent home on full pay as they are salaried. Everyone in the warehouse told to stay as "there are roller shutter doors open - the air circulates so it's not confined". If you want to go home, its no pay for you, oh and by the way if you get sick, nothing beyond £94.25 a week for you.

I walked out at lunch. Fuck that "them and us" shit.

Inevitable really. My mate's first kid is older than ours and I kept taking the piss out of him years ago before Cass was born for always having a cold, he said that it had only been since his son was at school that he always was always getting bugs and stuff. And he was right, it's amazing what shit kids bring home without them even getting the slightest sneeze from themselves.

Thanks. Financially we'll be ok. Mentally I'm struggling tba.
But, I'm more concerned about father-in-law and my siblings and their spouses, i'm the youngest of seven and an afterthought at that, nearest to me is six years older and i'm no spring chicken!
The herd immunity theory makes sense to me, however it must result in the demise of large numbers of the elderly.
It makes sense logically, scientifically, and even financially but goes against normal human sentiment. Hard to accept it. Head says yes, heart says no. Tough choice.

I totally agree with your sentiment. I don't want the older generation considered as collateral damage.

Cass is the Wolverhampton typhoid Mary, clearly.

She is. Pretty sure she had this shit two weeks ago, she was really ill. Sore throat, cough, temperature, weariness, lethargy. Five days she was like it, only smiled every time we scored against Spurs. Called 111 on the second day and just said to take Calpol to bring the temperature down. She had an existing GP appointment on the Tuesday following for something else but she was fine by then.

Unless its me, you absolute hypocrite

??

I have looked at it again. I don't think I was wishing your BUSINESS to go under or anything. It was about you talking about share investments being more important than people's lives. Hey if I called it wrong and it made you feel offended I'll say sorry you know.

That's not exactly the EU protecting workers rights is it. In fact it's disgusting.

Joking apart - how can somebody exist on £94 a week? The insane levels of toxic debt in this world lead me to believe we are about to witness the collpase of financial institutions on a scale we've never seen before. A false economy built on debt and consumerism. The times they are a changin .. and I feel so sorry for the younger generations who take on the mess previous generations created.

Govt forced into a U Turn by companies, organisations and individuals who sensibly decided they trusted other governments more than our own.

Can I just ask, what is the level of public misery that you wouldn't see fit to make a political gain ? You really are contemptible aren't you ?
