Int break before this, but unless there are any injuries unlikely to be any changes from the last game

Looking like another sell out -& very few seats left

This should be a game we are looking to get 3 points off

We will be unchanged. The extra day after the internationals are done helps as well, especially if any of ours have long trips back (Jiminez maybe?)

Dendoncker might get on the bench but to replace who, I am not sure (presume it would have to be Hause or Saiss)

Jimenez has to come back from Nashville from an early hours of Wednesday kick off, so I guess it'll be Friday before we see him. As Kenny says I think the day will make all the difference.

Unfortunate timing to be playing them. A two week break without many International call ups (only 2 of yesterday's starting 11), so they'll be a lot stronger than they've been after Europa games so far this season.

Be interesting to see whether my leftfield Dendoncker/Nuno wonderings about are given any fuel

Their strongest isn't very good though, they've been very poor in most games so far. Vastly overperformed in a poor league last year - Arsenal finished directly above them, Everton finished directly below them, both were horseshit and sacked their managers - and now regressing to the mean given that they didn't improve at all in the summer.

Home win for me Jeff.

Agreed, I still fancy us, just that I don't think they'll be as poor as they have been so far this season with a 2 week break

Looking forward to this one. Might even snatch an hour in the RL beforehand.

Quietly confident in this one. It's very winnable but there are no such things as easy games.
Would hope to see all players back free from injury.
Have a sneaking feeling Bonatini will start this it's a long trip for Jiminez

I'd imagine Wood and Vokes will be an aerial threat so hope we do some work on set-pieces/balls into the box.

I do fancy us to control it though, after Dyche's antics in the Europa League I wonder if it has any impact on the moral of players who'd love to play in Europe.

After that

If we are serious about being in the top 10 Burnley at home is a game we should be winning. Not a thrashing but 1-0 2-1 are fine. Decent side who overperfromed last year and have been brought down to earth with a bit of a bump this year so far. I think scoring goals is their problem. Last year they were defensively solid but that isnt happening for them so far. Got to be three points. 2-1 with Vokes to score for them naturally.:icon_wink:

What about Ward?

They scored 36 goals and accumulated 54 points last year. They can obviously cause us problems by boring us to death. I don't expect us to walk all over em because our IF's are still getting up to speed they can be very difficult to break down. Enter Adama Traore on 60 mins elation/frustration delete as appropriate.
We are at our least impressive against resolute (defending in number) teams. We should have enough they being out of Europe with few internationals they will fancy their chances.

Will be in the temp stand, hoping the weather doesn't turn before then!

If he's up for it I'd fancy Helder against Wardy all day long. Jota should have more than enough to get the better of Bardsley as well (assuming he can get over his mini slump)

A super optimistic 2-0

Let's face it, we're better than these. Much better. We have a better XI and a better manager and we play better football. 2-0 with Jimenez finally getting some reward for his efforts and Neves plopping one in from outside the box.

Good post. That's the nub of it though mate, we ARE better and typically us Wolves fans generally understate ourselves. This is the real deal.

I've been guilty of that plenty in the past but fuck me you can see the difference, this is a really well run club on all levels with owners who mean business who have the staff in place to deliver. The football is the best I've seen here in my lifetime and we have some genuinely top class players, you can feel it in the air that what's happening is special.

Absolutely. And that's why I think we are regularly and easily busting so many of the old Wolves myths. Simply, the old Wolves has ceased to exist.

The Premier League is supposed to be how much money you spend, but instructive that those who (for me) are having the biggest influence this season so far cost us nothing or very little (Patricio, Moutinho, Jonny)

This is a different Wolf from others that have been here before

They're all costing us a hell of a lot of money.

Yep. we've got good deals transfer fee (or loan in case of Jonny) but they will be on big wages. Totally worth it though!

Wages tend to be the better barometer of quality.
