Bournemouth 1-1 Wolves (Bournemouth win 5-4 on pens) : Verdict Thread

Don't think we'll agree on this, which is fine.

You just seem more cheesed off with fans annoyed at the player who let us down than with the player himself
Ikr just look at all the praise I've showered him with, proper white knight job innit

It was stupid, brain-dead even
He went too far and fucked it all up
he's a bit of a cunt, he's arrogant, he's emotional, he's not great off the ball and he's stroppy.
I'm not defending him, it was churlish and petulant, and he's clearly a bit of a cunt on the football pitch

Selfish and more than a little pathetic from Cunha. The worst case ramifications are sobering.

I am clinging to the hope that others step up and in particular it becomes a platform for JSL to flourish. That would be a massive silver lining. If VP can (quickly) find a better system to get to the best out of JSL then VP will have really done an excellent job.

It won't put other clubs off either.

Jota had a reputation for rolling around, diving and being a petulant prick too. Not to the extent of clashing and getting sent off, but other clubs will expect him to calm down a bit at a bigger club where he isn't the centre of attention.

Did Djiga settle down after a while or is he not yet fit for purpose?

Of course it won`t. Not just the PL either.

Couldn't care less if other clubs are put off, they'll either pay the release fee or they won't. And it's pretty low so the former is more likely.

It's out of our hands anyway, there are potential advantages to us not being a one man team next season, although that's reliant on our very hit and miss recruitment. Let's just hope the rebuild happens in the PL

Is there a scenario he goes for less than the release clause?

If we're relegated, a club could come in and say 45m take it or leave it?

We won't be in a position financially to say no.

And we say leave it.

The whole point in it seeming low is so it's paid if we go down.

And in thar scenario we probably wouldn't accept a low ball bid until the end of the summer with no time to sensibly spend the money...

Tbf you wouldn't rule out a big club being dicks over £10-15m and then Cunha being the kind of prick who goes on strike to force it

It doesn't really happen now. Certainly wouldn't with Cunha who'd arguably get in every PL team.

I would rule it out, when they know any side could come in and gazump them as the release fee is so widely known.

Thing is though be a few low ball offers and he has the potential to sulk if he doesn’t get his way

It’ll be fine. We’ll have the 3rd coming of our generational talent
