Bournemouth 0-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

When Vitor puts out a team that looks a little unbalanced, selecting players we wouldn’t generally want to play, I’m not that worried as he clearly knows his players.

When GoN did it, it was very worrying!

A manager getting the best out of his squad… sorted out the defence and defending of set pieces (mostly) and plenty of grit and determination. What’s not to like

Good result, decent hard-working performance. I thought Santi was decent, for all of the stick he gets on here. Bellegarde had a good game, Cunha was what he usually is. Andre MOTM, what a player he is.
Bellegarde hasn’t had any stick since we’ve found a manager who knows how to use him correctly

Massive three points and very much kept them at arms length.

And for all we could have won by more goals, our retention of the ball against ten men for the majority of the game was fairly shocking.

Absolute home banker in the FA cup game coming up though, unfortunately.

Why is it a home banker? (FWIW today is far more important)
Just don’t think lightening will strike twice in such a short period of time.

(Plus they’ll be well up for getting their own back after today)

Precious three points in the bag. Had to rely on WM comms for most of the game struggled to find anywhere to watch. Seemed like a good all round team effort. Andre and Bellegarde played well from the bits and bobs I saw.. I agree with a previous poster, don`t worry about life without Cunha, enjoy him while we have him. Hats off to Vitor.

Agreed. It’s very clear now where the issue for him was.
Must.. resist… the toldyousos…

Genuinely, I couldn’t be more thrilled for the guy. I was deeply concerned that O’Neil had irreparably shattered his confidence. He was going from “meh” to Stephen Hunt levels of inept (not that I ever would’ve admitted it at the time).

IMV that speaks well to Vitor’s man management, despite his reputation for being a dick.

I didn't see the game today and don't get me wrong I'm delighted we won. It feels a bit hollow though. We stay up, we sell our best player(s) and try to finish 17th again. It's better than being in the Championship, but just all a bit meh. A satellite football club.
