womens world cup?

What a shame. Came out of nowhere really as you feel the Americans will score again

Fuck off VAR, that's nonsense.

Fair enough. If it's offside it's offside. That cunt Pearce banging on about "half a boot". It's irrelevant man.

Offside it is then. Might give confidence of how to get at them at the back.

The US were a shambles on the disallowed goal, massive gap through the middle. They're doable.

That's just lack of playing time throughout their whole life tho. That's why this is important, if the next generation get to play more in and out of school and later on in life then that becomes less and less (we won't eradicate it becuase Ryan Bennett et al)

This is true. Boys are Y6 level are better than the girls because they've been immersed it from toddler age. Girls don't tend to show any interest until later as dads don't tend to have kickabouts with daughters. The culture needs to change but it will.

I don't get Jill Scott, she looks like a dreadful footballer but seems effective. Like a female Crouch.

I have no idea what happened there but I'll take it

I left the restaurant to get back to work, swap my stream to live and england's suddenly up 2-2... then I look away and it's 2-1 again. :icon_lol:

The disallowed goal borne of the same tactical idiocy as your first. Ellis seems totally content to just let Walsh have all day in our half.

That was the moment, think the US will see this out now.

This is one of the very rare occasions when I actually know what I am talking about. I was a girls football coach to fairly decent level when I was a teacher. Had some really very promising players, but they just hadn't played enough - and not games, but just kicking a football around.

On a tight offside it isn't though. It's a binary factual decision.

It's frustrating for sure, but VAR isn't at fault there. We had better get used to it with every goal being checked next season.

It’s the same buffoonery as Liverpool fans moaning about millimetres at Man City.

Worth noting, too; the NWSL is the top women's league in the world. The season there is only 24 games long. That's over 1200 minutes of top level experience every year that the women aren't getting as compared to the top level of the men's game.

Not sure this is right. I'm going back the thick end of 30 years here and we had girls playing with us from 7/8/9 and it was fine as girls develop quicker physically. Decent players too. Maybe the Vention was merely a hotbed of female football, well ahead of its time.

When I went to uni we had house football (I played for uni and was like well good) so I was captain and you had to have at least four girls, seven lads on a Sunday morning. Just a laugh really. But I can't play for a laugh, can I. So we're playing one dreary Manchester morning on a haphazardly marked park pitch, the ball comes to a hungover Dan 25 yards out, more or less on the half volley...what are you going to do? You thump it, don't you. And I can thump a ball if nothing else. We're talking Neil Masters levels (I've got the arse to match). Straight in some poor girl's mush. I was fucking mortified by that. Never spoke to her again when I saw her around campus.

I still shudder now at the noise it made.

Ellen White holy shit

Diving like a fucking dolphin
